It’s not often that I like the result. Or let’s say: I don’t care too much about the result, because it is the process that I enjoy the most. But this one, I like 💜. I wanted to have a big one, so I stuck two canvases together with adhesive tape. Let’s talk about time and creativity. I think we’ve forgotten how to create without needing it to become something. what if the point of creating is simply… creating? To lose track of time. To make a mess.
To follow an impulse without knowing where it leads.

I always paint over something I had spent hours creating. I don’t care.

Because: not every hour needs a result. Not every idea needs a purpose.
Some things are allowed to exist only for the moment they give us. For me, every moment in the laundry atelier makes me happy and that is huge. 💙🤩

We spend so much time of life trying to avoid chaos. But maybe chaos is good. Every forest is chaotic (we think…), every mind is chaos, but it all has a reason. Art , for me, is to embrace the chaos and to build even more chaos to see where it brings me. Another late evening session in the laundry basement. It’s cold. It’s dirty. And I love that ambience for my creativity. Today I painted over an old painting. Love that it is about the process and not the result that matters.

I was ready to go to bed. But then, creativity kicked in. And then the head kicks also in: “ I should go to bed, I have to get up at 5 am, I have so much work to do, I can’t be tired tomorrow…etc etc etc”
And you try. To go to bed. But you can’t. Creativity always will be stronger, if you let it… Let creativity take over. Let it take you to wherever it will take you. ✨
Milow wanted to join me. He had a good sleep while I was creating something. What a good moment!
