TIME TO COOK! Just had my first cooking lesson with @myhoreca.events in The Hague. Under the expert guidance of chef Tjeerd we had a relaxed and fun afternoon in the kitchen. As amateur home cook I was looking for a class that gave me guidance and practical tips. Today was about cutting techniques, but we also made vinaigrette and custard! Great lesson and can't wait for next week - but first, some more tasting the goods 😉

It is HOLIDAY TIME!!! Mobile and laptop are offline.

Can't wait to wake up without an alarm the next 3 weeks.

So prepare for some flipflop, food, book and relax posts!

Had a fun team outing today where we got to learn how to paint like Bob Ross. So many memories shared of "let's add a little Van Dyke brown", "there are only happy little accidents", and "maybe over here lives another tree" 🌿

Also learned that watching Bob Ross after getting home drunk after a party is a shared memory for several people of a certain generation... 😂

Thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on my balcony in the late afternoon and evening. It's finally warm enough to wear just a t-shirt and shorts & me and the cattos are feeling very relaxed! Them without T and shorts, obvs.

I did a thing! Today, I solemnly pledged to be at my best as a civil servant. Now those who know me are aware that isn't difficult for me, especially not in the workplace, but it was still a nice, official moment with colleagues.

Currently counting on the train to get me back home 😊 by @annclose

The Northern Lights! In my freaking backyard!!! I am so thankful for the neighbor who sent a notification. I was already in bed, but leaped out, threw on a jumper and standing here freezing my butt off. But this is MAGICAL!!!

When you wake up and find this in the bathroom. The culprit even inspecting his own handy work. Tsssssk.

Almost feels like "luilak" came very early this year 😉

Wow, waking up to a snowy morning! ⛄️ My inner kid is still always filled with wonder when I open the curtains and find it has been snowing. Something magical about it ✨️ by @annclose

Day 1 of 365 in the year 2026! Although the fireworks are great to behold, I certainly won't mind the full ban going into effect next year. It all causes too much hurt and violence - harming yourself and others (humans, animals and mother nature alike) is not worth some pops of fire.

Having said that, I am excited about this new year! Why? Well, why not! Time flies, but still each day is a new opportunity to make something of it. And I can't wait for the adventures that lie ahead, even though I have no clue yet about what they will look like ✨️ Happy new year!! 💛 by @annclose
