Aged = Out

Just boarded the flight home, and I’m taking it all in before putting the week into words

However, I feel so extremely loved by my friends and the drumming community. I couldn’t walk more than five feet without running into a friendly face, and the kind words I’ve been receiving mean so so much. To everyone who I saw last night, thank you for being belligerent in my last lot ever and for supporting me on this special weekend 🧡

What an incredible season to age out. A perfect mix of laughs, crank, bus shenanigans, AND I made it out of the season relatively unscathed (iykyk), just a couple days out with strep. Thank you basses for always having something out of pocket to say, and for pushing the limits of excellence seen in Evil Bass.

The whole season I was blown away by the amount of support I received from friends, family, people I shared the field with, and even strangers. From the beginning to the end, it was comforting to know that I always had someone rooting for me, even from people that might have not traditionally been a BD fan. 6 years later, and I can confidently say I kept coming back to this activity because of the people, and you all will continue to draw me back as an alumnus. I am so lucky for the friendships I’ve gained throughout these years, and a huge thank you to everyone that’s been a part of the journey. To anyone I’ve marched with: I never seem to be in the same state for more than 2 weeks, but if you ever find yourself in my part of the country, you absolutely have a place to crash and someone to grab food with :)

The sun has set on another incredible season of WGI (sans audio issues!!!)

For a multitude of reasons, this has been the most difficult year of my life, and filled with a lot of loss. This season has made me think a lot about the passage of time, how to navigate grief, and the individuals that make this activity worth coming back to year after year. The time you have with the people closest to you is finite, and you never know when your paths will diverge, bringing that chapter to a close. I have a lot of gratitude for the friendships and connections that I have gained, and lost, during my tenure in this activity. I carry a piece of you all with me. Time is a thief…

Thank you to my friends for coming and experiencing championships for the first time. I hope it makes a little more sense why I give up all of my weekends. (Swipe for moth content) by @anne.saber

Boo Bass is ready to take on Finals week 👻

Eye Dr. was a project that the line created and took on as a way to challenge themselves late season

Make sure to come check them out this weekend, and shout out to the rest of the bass staff for providing them quality education
