New article up for the August issue of Percussive Notes!

Quite timely as we enter the hiring season for next year’s edition of Drum Corps International … 😉

The process of writing this article was truly a gift; fulfilling, enraging, inspiring, and everything in between - I have never felt more connected to my community. Endless thank you to all who participated for siting down to candidly share their experiences. I remain in awe of the strong and capable women and gender non-conforming folks I share space with in the pageantry activity.

We have come so far but there is certainly more to be done!

Spring Training 2026 with Crossmen Audio ✅ Super blessed to have spent the last three weeks learning more and getting the corps ready for tour alongside an amazing team while making so many new friends in the process. Shoutout to @j_milhoan.exe for bringing us all together again for this gig and always helping to answer my questions from afar. Can’t wait to be back on the road on the second 1/2 of tour, and for the world to see what The Crossmen have been up to this year. Go Bones!!!

It’s hard to put into words how transformative this season has been for me, and in light of the goals and objectives I have set out for myself, this goes beyond just this past season at Spectre.

To be completely transparent, I wasn’t supposed to march this indoor season. I didn’t have the time or the money to make it happen. My grades slipped from semester to semester and it was unfortunately a bi-product of being so engulfed by the activity. But by the grace of God, I discovered a job through a couple friends (Izzy and Dylan) that gave me the money and the time to do what I love.

I was trusted with bass 2 this season, and I couldn’t have been more honored for the staff to have granted me that opportunity. I’d like to thank @nick_ro_please , @merlin_1920s , @katiegabell , @anne.saber , Andrea Kunde, and Nate Fuerst for the time you all invested in teaching me everything I know about bass drumming. The rest of my marching career wouldn’t be possible without the skills I have developed under your instruction.

I’d like to thank @therealnoblesix and @will.vinson for being such amazing directors of this ensemble. From the day I auditioned at Empyrean, to the bus ride back from Dayton, I couldn’t be happier to be a member of this beautiful organization. You two have empowered me to be the best version of myself both on and off the floor.

I’d like to give special thanks to Anne Turner, @jessashmish , @meganmccombs , @a_jain00 , @bimapamula , and @_dani.g22 for being role models to me both during and before your times at Spectre. Whether I knew it or not, I looked up to each and every one of you in some way and I think it’s so awesome that I got to meet so many of my heroes, let alone learn from you all.

Finally, I’d like to thank from the bottom of my heart each member I got to march with over these past 3 years. Seeing this ensemble grow over the years has been inspiring. I’d like to thank specifically @rkh_drums , @kaeden_w @ivan._exists_ for being so incredibly amazing to me, quite literally brothers in my eyes.

Thank you, @spectre_percussion 💜

If you watched finals, you already know.

RCC doesn’t just play clean—they move a different way. That look is built on purpose.

Aud explains what’s actually behind it.

Dayton📍

I’m so glad I went up to wgi finals for the first time this year. What was originally a help out sun city and see friends trip turned into helping run subs, moving vans, helping in and out of the tunnel, carrying every piece of equipment out there, moving props, but most importantly being reunited with some of the greatest friends I haven’t seen in years. Or just finally meeting some in person. The marching arts activity has given me so much and this day was a great reminder of it.
