Refuge: 10th Anniversary Edition

[Ad|Gifted]

In this powerful and evocative story, Jesus, Mary and Joseph flee Herod before finding sanctuary in Egypt. Uniquely, it is told in the voice of the donkey who carries them all to safety. Heartfelt in its message about the struggle of refugees and the kindness of strangers, this book is as relevant today as when it was first published ten years ago.

A timely and timeless retelling of the Christmas story, inspired by refugee children everywhere.

Nosy Crow is partnering with War Child UK to raise vital funds and awareness for their work to support children affected by conflict through the release of the 10th anniversary edition of Refuge. £1 from every War Child copy sold is being donated to support their lifechanging work around the world.

🪢 Έχεις βρεθεί ποτέ σε κάποια από τις δύο θέσεις;

The Boy, The Troll & the Chalk

🧌Everyone knew that a BIG, wild troll lived in the cave.

📢LEAVE ME ALONE!” it shouted. So, everyone did—they left it alone.

👦But one child didn’t turn away.

🖍️With a box of chalk, the child went to the cave and started drawing. Day by day, the child’s unfinished drawings slowly convinced the troll to step out of the darkness…

🥰A heartwarming story about the power of kindness, art, and imagination.

I don’t think, when writing ‘Come Back Gosling’, ( now a book beautifully illustrated by @david_c_litchfield ) that I realised or paid attention to the fact that one of our lamps has flying geese on the lamp shade! I wonder if that inspired me? @templarbooks @anneclarklit by @anneboothauthor
