I am SO excited that my first ever Portfolio is ready to travel the world! This is a selection of my assignment work printed on grey cardboard. Sending it out by snail mail now as addition to my Portfolio PDF. So curious to meet new and old people, visit new places and take new photographs. I am looking forward to work with you!

A spontaneous visit to @kirsten_landwehr and her ceramic studio @kl_keramik a while ago. I only had one medium format film with 12 negatives with me. Spaces like this are food for eye and soul.

Ein spontaner Ausflug zu @kirsten_landwehr und ihrem Keramikstudio @kl_keramik vor einer Weile. Ich hatte nur einen Mittelformatfilm mit 12 Bildern dabei. Ein guter Ort. by @anneschwalbe

A wonderful dinner with wonderful @silkeschmidt_artist and wonderful @sissizaccardelli . Yesterday at my new Gewächshaus or studio space. Including a bath in the river Elbe before and Sauna afterwards.

Photography and flower installations for Verwalterinnenhaus Werben (Elbe) @orte.site . This assignment was including installations with local fruits and flowers. I collected all in the gardens of friends, in my garden and directely at Verwalterinnenhaus. My side job for several years during my studies was to be a florist. Happy to combine everything now.

Fotografie und Blumen für @orte.site . Für den Auftrag Verwalterinnenhaus Werben (Elbe) habe ich mich auch um die Blumen gekümmert. In den Gärten von Freundinnen und auch in meinem Garten habe ich schlichte, schöne Pflanzen gesammelt und sie für die Fotografien vorbereitet. Als ich studiert habe, war Floristin mein Nebenjob für einige Jahre. Es ist schön, nun alles zusammen zu bringen. by @anneschwalbe

I so much enjoy this new studio space aka Gewächshaus! And this is the story of the October photo Heuberg in my Calendar. It is from my first body of work BLINDSCHLEICHE UND RIESENBLATT. From the first book i published with exhibitions at @foam_amsterdam . A mountain of straw in Poland. Heuberg is inside a little annex i published with 5th edition. There are some copies left and i plan to do an ARCHIVE SALE soon.

Ich mag das neue Gewächshaus sehr! Und hier ist die Geschichte der Oktober Fotografie in meinem Kalender. Es ist aus meinem ersten Buch BLINDSCHLEICHE UND RIESENBLATT. Die Serie wurde ua im @foam_amsterdam ausgestellt. Es ist ein Berg aus Stroh in Polen. Heuberg ist Teil eines Anhangs der Teil der 5. Auflage ist. Ein paar Bücher gibt es noch und ich mache bald einen ARCHIVE SALE.

Photography for @franziska_lutze and her way of Blaudruck. Blaudruck (blue printing) is a printing and dyeing technique from the 17th century and UNESCO World Heritage. Earlier this year @franziska_lutze and i spent one day on the meadows. Later i took also photos of the printing process. Analogue photos on film.

„The artist and designer Franziska Lutze lives and works in Berlin.
She uses a historical and traditional dyeing technique, blue printing, for her textile works. She only uses natural textiles such as cotton or linen.
This printing and dyeing technique has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2018. Franziska Lutze works with the oldest blue printing company in Europe, which has been operating in Einbeck since 1638.
In contrast to the floral and folkloristic patterns of traditional blueprinting, Franziska Lutze uses clear and minimalist shapes. She arranges these into geometric compositions.
Contrary to what the name blueprint suggests, she also creates works with UV-accurate (predominantly) primary colours.
Franziska Lutze’s artistic process is intuitive, manual and creatively social.“

From my archive - for several seasons i took photos for @pugnat.knitwear This is Pugnat x Wunderkind.

The process was like this: i took the photos, the films were developed by a lab. Then I did contact sheets from the films in a colour lab and selected together with @pugnat.knitwear . i printed our selection as C-Prints from negatives/film. And scanned the C-Prints. I also did the model and location scouting. What a process. by @anneschwalbe

A new portrait of @almutvogel . Some days ago in Berlin. Analogue on film.
PS: i had 2 photos left on a film and these are the 2. Often think about the difference of analogue and digital.

Some days ago a dear old friend and i talked for 7 hours. 7 hours talking, walking, eating, drinking. No interruptions, no phone calls, no messages, no mails. Just talking about our lifes. What a joy and so very good.

And these trees! I also took some new analogue medium format photos of them. Photographing these trees since almost ten years now. A while ago i used the hashtag #mymorningruntree . by @anneschwalbe

Some more from the feast to celebrate the new greenhouse in my courtyard. I will not use it for plants but for growing in general. That’s why i call it Gewächshaus. (Gewächshaus greenhouse in german comes from GROWING plants.) I plan a table and benches from wall to wall. And as much free space as possible.

And i think about installing a small stove, to be able to use it in winter too. What about a WinterWorkshop about wild plants?

Not finished yet and already a beauty! A place for photography, workshops, dinners. Built by two skilled craftspeople in summer.

Mehr Fotos vom Fest zur Einweihung des neuen Gewächshauses bei mir im Hof. Ich nenne es weiter Gewächshaus, werde es aber nicht für Pflanzen nutzen. Es ist ein Raum für Fotografie, Workshops, Essen. Es sollen zwei Bänke und ein, zwei Tische drin sein.

Aktuell überlege ich, einen kleinen Ofen zu installieren um es auch im Winter nutzen zu können. Wie wäre es mit einem WinterWorkshop? Essen am Ofen, Kränze flechten, mit Pflanzen färben, Spaziergänge im Nebel.

Es ist noch nicht ganz fertig und schon eine Schönheit. Gebaut im August von ein Zimmermann und einem Holzbildhauer.

Das wunderbare Essen, Gemüse, Pizza, Blumen für das Fest war vom @handgemacht.magazin . Eine grosse Empfehlung, mehr dazu bald. Vielen Dank Christina! by @anneschwalbe
