POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Great Ormond Street Hospital will always hold a special place in my heart for personal reasons. ❤️

But today, my reason for running for them goes beyond my own story. It’s about every child, every parent and every family who needs support, hope and someone in their corner.

It’s never just about me.

There is always more we can do, more people we can help and more kindness we can give. I will never forget that, because when my family and I needed support, Great Ormond Street Hospital was there for us. That is something I will always carry with me.

I run for the families who are going through their own battles, for the parents who are trying to stay strong, and for the children who deserve every chance at a brighter future.

Because sometimes, suffering is silent. Sometimes, the people who are hurting the most are the ones wearing the biggest smiles.

So be kind. Be there for people. Offer support, even when you don’t know the full story. You never know what someone might be going through behind a smile.

We can always do more. We can always give more. We should never forget those who need us.

This will always be bigger than running for me. It’s about giving back, standing together and helping other families feel the support that mine once received.

For every child. For every parent. For every family. Always. 🧡🦋. #running #charity #london taken in London, United Kingdom by @anniefoulds

The running communities across the UK.

Most of us are running for a cause greater than ourselves, and there’s something truly beautiful about that.

Imagine if we could all come together like this every day. How fabulous life could be.

We’re not running for gold medals. We’re not running for money, other than the money we’re raising for the causes we believe in. I’m not even running for likes.

I run because it’s good for me. It challenges me, clears my head, and makes me feel alive. When you can combine something you love with raising money for a cause that matters, it becomes something even more special.

There’s an incredible energy in these communities. People coming together, supporting one another, showing up, pushing through, and doing something positive for others. You can’t help but smile when you’re around it.

Somewhere along the way, between the miles, the conversations, the laughter and the shared purpose, you sometimes meet the most amazing people.

That’s what makes it special.

It’s bigger than running. It’s about people, purpose, and making a difference.

Perhaps if we brought a little more of that spirit into everyday life, the world would be a much better place. taken in London, United Kingdom by @anniefoulds

This is what’s so amazing about running. 💜🏃‍♀️

The positivity, the togetherness, the sense of belonging ❤️💜

Running brings people together in the most beautiful way. Different journeys, different stories, but a shared love for something that makes us feel alive.

Find your good people in this world and hold onto them. The ones who lift you up, bring out the best in you, and make the journey that little bit brighter.

Good people. Good energy. Good hearts. 💜

MENTAL RESILIENCE — THE TOUGHEST STRENGTH OF ALL.

We train our bodies, count our steps, lift weights and chase physical goals.

But how much time do we spend training our minds?

Mental resilience is one of the most underestimated aspects of health and wellbeing, yet it’s essential to how we navigate life.

It’s learning to cope with setbacks, manage difficult emotions, adapt to change and keep moving forward when life gets hard.

It’s not about never struggling, never feeling pain or pretending to be strong.

It’s about learning how to face adversity without allowing it to define you.

We need to talk more about mental resilience, educate ourselves and recognise that mental strength is a skill that can be developed.

Because a strong body is valuable.

But a resilient mind can change your life. taken in London, United Kingdom by @anniefoulds

DISCIPLINE OVER MOTIVATION

When you’re younger, single, and have fewer responsibilities, finding time to train can feel easier.

But as you get older, life gets busier. Work, family, responsibilities and exhaustion can make motivation hard to find.

That’s where discipline comes in.

You won’t always feel motivated. You won’t always feel like training. But consistency means showing up even when life gets in the way.

You don’t need to be perfect. You need to be committed.

The secret isn’t doing everything. It’s refusing to give up on yourself.

Motivation gets you started. Discipline keeps you going. Consistency gets results.

Show up for yourself. Even on the hard days. taken in London, United Kingdom by @anniefoulds

MY ROAD. MY PACE. MY PURPOSE. MY TRUTH. 🏃🏾‍♀️🌷🧡

Not for applause.
Not for acceptance.
Not for validation.

At the end of the day, when everything else falls silent, I have to live with the person I see in the mirror.

I owe that person honesty, integrity and the courage to stand by what I believe in.

I am not here to live up to someone else’s expectations. I am here to live a life that reflects my values, honours my truth and allows me to look myself in the eye without regret.

I will not compromise who I am to make others comfortable.
I will not abandon my values to earn acceptance.
I will not lose myself trying to belong.

I would rather stand alone in my truth than be surrounded by people while living a lie.

This is my life.
My journey.
My responsibility.

MY TRUTH. MY HONESTY. MY LIFE.

I will own it, stand by it and live it with courage. 🧡 by @anniefoulds

RUNNING TO BUILD MY INDEPENDENCE. RUNNING FOR MY FUTURE. 🏃🏾‍♀️🧡

I don’t run just for today. I run for the woman I want to be in 10, 20 and 30 years.

Every mile is an investment in my strength, my physical and mental resilience, my mobility and my independence.

Running challenges my heart, strengthens my body, builds my endurance and reminds me that progress comes from consistency, discipline and showing up, even when it’s hard.

My goal isn’t simply to live longer. It’s to live BETTER.

To remain strong, capable and confident.
To move freely without relying on others.
To protect my quality of life for as long as possible.

I’m not training to look younger. I’m training to stay stronger, healthier and independent for longer.

Every run is a deposit into my future.

Because the greatest achievement isn’t just reaching old age.

It’s getting there with your strength, your freedom and your independence intact. 🏃🏾‍♀️🌷🧡 💪🏾🥳🎉 taken in London, United Kingdom by @anniefoulds

Last Sunday’s half marathon 🏃‍♀️

From the outside, people might think you’ve got it all together! No worries, no doubts, no fear. But don’t be misled by what you see!

Honestly, whenever I take on a challenge, I get really nervous. I have to talk to myself, encourage myself and dig deep.

For me, I focus on all the positive reasons why I should do it, rather than all the reasons why I shouldn’t and those reasons will always outweigh the fear and just to prove how nervous I get… I don’t mind admitting, I went to the loo at least 4 or 5 times before the race! 😂 Can you believe it?!

So I take a breath, trust myself, become my own best friend and step forward.

That’s what being strong means to me. Not being fearless, just not letting the fear stop me. ❤️ taken in Shoreditch East London by @anniefoulds

BE STRONG.

Not just for how you look.

For how you feel.

For the tough days.

For the moments when life asks more of you than you expected.

Strength is something we build over time.

We learn to work through the harder periods.

We learn to sacrifice.

We learn to say no to distractions.

We learn to put our energy into what really matters.

And as we get older, we learn that quality matters more than quantity.

At 57, I’m grateful to feel strong.

Not perfect.

Just strong.

And I think there’s something pretty wonderful about that. taken in Greece by @anniefoulds

Reflective and resting. The older I get, the more I realise it’s the simple things that matter.

Being healthy.

Having people around me that I love and trust.

Being able to get up in the morning and do the things I enjoy.

I don’t need everything to be perfect.

I just want to keep moving forward, keep challenging myself, keep learning and stay grateful for what I have.

Life has taught me enough to know that none of it should be taken for granted.

So I’m going to keep running, keep training, keep laughing, keep working hard and keep enjoying the ride.

Because why wouldn’t I? taken in Greece by @anniefoulds

“You’re not looking at genetics. You’re looking at hard work and commitment.”

Too often, fitness, and true self confidence are dismissed with three words: “good genetics and luck.”

Let’s stop taking away the work.

I’m 57, and I know exactly what it takes to maintain a strong, fit body at this age.

It takes discipline, sacrifice, commitment, consistency and years of hard work.

But that doesn’t mean I’m obsessed or that fitness is all I care about.

I’m a mother, I have family and friends that mean the world. I have a full life, responsibilities and people I love.

You don’t have to be obsessed. You simply have to be disciplined and direct your attention towards the things that matter to you.

Especially as women, staying strong and fit as we age isn’t something we can take for granted. Our bodies change. We have to adapt, work harder, recover smarter and remain consistent.

I wasn’t born looking like this.

I worked for this.

And I still work for it.

So don’t look at someone who is fit, strong, successful or thriving and reduce everything they’ve achieved to “good genetics.”

Genetics may give us a starting point.

But what we do with what we’ve been given is up to us.

I’m proud of the work I’ve put into my body, my mind and my life.

I didn’t wake up at 57 looking like this.
I built this. taken in London, United Kingdom by @anniefoulds
