Ain’t no party like a midlife pajama party 🎉
with Club “PERI”dise @clubperidise as in perimenopause 😅

We are rebranding midlife and I’m hosting events for women in their 2nd act because…
- maybe you don’t feel like yourself anymore
-maybe you need a new room full of new faces
- maybe you need something on the calendar that is purely for you and requires nothing but showing up (i mean, in pajamas we hope but it’s optional 😉

Every woman will experience menopause if she lives long enough— and we will spend decades post-menopause.

We need more funding for menopause research.
We need more ways to access up-to-date menopause providers.
We need to stop telling women to “wait til it gets really bad” before getting care.
We need to tell women that this is not your mother’s menopause journey.
We need women to know you can have the most amazing lifestyle and still have symptoms and it’s not your fault.

We need to tell women that HRT aka MHT is nuanced and individualized and depends on many things— and deserves a conversation with an informed provider.

Most days, I am optimistic and some days like today- it feels challenging to use my voice.

We don’t need a menopause war, we need champions in this space of women’s health more than ever. by @annievovan

What is this event?
A midlife girls night out

Who’s it for?
Women who embrace that this is aa perimenopause pajama party— 🎉

Why?
Because we’re celebrating 1 year of @clubperidise and we’ll throw a yearly pajama party bc why not

Who is this not for?
Anyone who thinks its cringe

What can you expect?
A night off
A place to discover new friends
Hours to disconnect from the world

Why should you come?
Because midlife can be hard and this is way fun. 🤩
Bc having a community and social club makes your calendar.

Fun fact: I was a volunteer camp counselor for kids for 12 summers and 3 winters so I love me some silly interactive games 🙋🏻‍♀️🥳 by @annievovan

Midlife women, unite! 👯‍♀️ An evening of fun, connection, and entertainment… all wrapped up in a pajama party! 😂💕

@annievovan is truly a girls’ girl, and I’m so proud of her for creating @clubperidise and building a community where women can come together to laugh, connect, learn, and just feel a little less alone in this midlife era we’re all in.

And the entertainment? @momcomnyc is flying from New York to do a private special comedy show for us AND @shannonnoelcoaching will be there with her guitar singing the funniest perimenopause songs! Plus crafts, mahjong, dancing, and lots of women getting together to just have a GOOD TIME.

If you’re looking for community, new friends, or just an excuse to get out and have some fun, come hang with us!

All the fun things I’ve done in year 1 of @clubperidise is happening at our 2nd Annual Perimenopause Pajama Party

That means:
1- gathering midlife woman who love a diverse and inclusive event
2- donating a portion of proceeds to non profit partners
3- playing mahjong (open play)
4- doing a craft project! Can’t wait to show
5- dancing and music
6- live entertainment

So that you are finding people in SoCal to connect with.

To all the people who asked me why do I bother talking about my life and perimenopause online….

It matters. Thank you threads, IG and TikTok fam !!

I don’t want women to be turned away from getting care like I did.

I don’t want women to accept “it’s just a part of aging” and be gaslit about perimenopause like I experience; by my doctor.

And I want women to seek help from board certified providers who have gone above and beyond in their medical training to get up to date information.

I am no longer a pharmacist— but I am someone who believes you need to know that perimenopause is not the end of joy.

Perimenopause can be that time in your life when you stop carrying things that don’t serve you- and that’s why I started @clubperidise
