a home away from home in Brooklyn - @akarisauna 🌿
Had a lot of fun directing this short clip featuring my favorite sauna in New York. If you know me, you know how much I love sauna and the calm it brings amid the craziness of this city.

Thank you everyone who contributed their time and talent to make this happen 🫶🏻And Issa for being so brave, withstanding the heat, sweat, and an outdoor cold plunge in the dead of New York winter while looking so gorgeous!

My little love letter to Guatemala 🇬🇹🎥to your generous, kind people; rich coffee; vibrant textiles; majestic volcanoes; colorful chicken buses and tuk-tuks. Ya te extraño!

Filmed on @kodak_shootfilm Super8 film. Thank you @meimay_dancer for being my co-pilot in travel and for helping with the very important opening scene lol

Shoutout to local businesses and organizations featured in the the clip: @dlgcoffee , TinteMaya and @casamundojaibalito - check them out if you’re planning a trip to Antigua and Atitlán Guatemala

Salsa Sundays in the Bronx has been a tradition for more than five(!) decades. this summer I finally got a chance to go experience it myself, share dances and the love of salsa with local legends and capture some of that joy and rhythm on 16mm film for memories! 🙌🏻Can’t wait to return next summer

Õunauputus~
In New York you pay money to go pick apples; in Estonia people leave boxes of apples outside of their doors for free because there are simply too many to handle. Easily my favorite time of the year

Every summer is a summer of salsa in El Barrio 🪇💛
Spent some time uptown this summer dancing salsa at iconic neighbourhood spots on the 106th and 112th Streets, and at newly inaugurated Eddie Palmieri Way in honor of the legendary pianist and composer who grew up on the same block.

forgive me, still haven’t quite mastered that manual focusing-while-dancing multitasking 🫣
