POSTS STORIES REELS

My story in 12 seconds — a story woven with healing for brokenness, redemption for what was stolen, and a family formed by God as I became a daughter at 26.⁣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
I am so much more than a childhood abuse survivor, former foster teen, and adoptee — but because those are my lived experiences, I will spend the rest of my life advocating for seats to be added to tables, for eyes to be opened to this crisis, and for hearts to be moved into action.⁣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
There are 400,000+ youth in the foster care system. 122,000+ are waiting to belong in a forever family. 22,000+ youth age out and are thrusted into adulthood alone every year.⁣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
Every number represents a precious life that was made with a purpose.⁣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
Not everyone is called to foster or adopt, but everyone can do something.⁣

When the roadtrip to show off my home state of Oregon to my bestie for treasure thrifting, waterfall hiking, coffee drinking, good eats, and constant yap + laughs finally made it out of our text thread 🪞🥾☕️🪵🌹

Spent a dreamy weekend along the Washington Coast to attend + celebrate my cousin’s wedding! Getting to also explore some places on my ever-growing list of “must see” locations while there was such a treat.

It was so special being among so many family members, new friends, and the incredible Makah tribe. We got to experience so many traditions, sights, sounds, and tastes while joining different cultures together.

Getting to wake up to the view of the Clallam Bay and breathing in coastal air was refreshing. Water views will always be my favorite kind of view. What an absolute gift of a weekend!
