In this episode, I sit down with my dear friend Ann Mahon for a deeply personal conversation about grief, sudden loss, and what happens when someone we love dies far from home. Ann shares the heartbreaking story of her brother Tom, who died suddenly while on holiday in Lanzarote, and the unexpected journey that followed as the family worked to bring him home to Ireland. We talk about repatriation, the practical challenges, the waiting, and the people who helped carry some of that weight. We also talk about losing her brother John two years later, and what it means to grieve two people you always imagined growing old with.
