🇨🇴 On July 20th, Colombia celebrates its Independence Day and @vivamagazine.australia has paid the most beautiful tribute to it 😍✨

Their special edition celebrates Colombian culture, literature, and gastronomy, and gives voice to Colombians here in Australia who are helping share and grow our culture across this country.

I’m beyond honored to have been included among these voices, sharing a piece of my story as an immigrant, cultural ambassador, and project manager building bridges between Colombia and Australia.

If you would like to learn more about Colombian culture, the full edition is linked in @vivamagazine.australia bio🙌✨

We migrated from different parts of Latin America, each with different dreams and at CCFO we found a place to connect, learn and grow.
Dance brings us closer to our roots and makes the journey of starting over a little easier

Llevando nuestras raíces latinas a donde quiera que vayamos ✨

On 10 October, we celebrated Colombian Migrant Day, honouring our culture, our roots, and the power of community alongside amazing organisations keeping our identity alive in Australia. 🇨🇴✨

🗞️ @elespanol_au , a Latin newspaper in Australia with over 60 years of sharing our community’s stories.

🛍️ @altrimenti_markets , a platform supporting and showcasing Latin entrepreneurs and their businesses.

💃 @ccfoau (Colombian Cultural and Folkloric Organisation) Preserving and sharing the richness of Colombian culture through dance.

Because our roots travel with us. Wherever we go, we continue to share our culture, build connections, and leave our mark 🌎✨

You don’t have to be Colombian to help Colombia🇨🇴🤝

After the recent earthquake in Colombia, many people are looking for ways to support those affected. And help can take many forms, you don’t have to be Colombian, and you don’t always have to donate money.

You can donate directly to trusted organisations, encourage your workplace or business to get involved, support fundraising initiatives, use your skills and connections as a community leader, or use your creativity as an artist or creator.

You can also support Colombian community initiatives by attending fundraising events, sharing verified information and helping spread the word.

Whether you give money, time, skills, a platform or simply help amplify a trusted cause.

TOGETHER, WE BUILD COLOMBIA 🇨🇴

Every action matters. Every contribution counts.
