So much more to say on this topic but couldn’t go through Domestic Violence Awareness Month without talking about financial abuse.

There are many layers to financial anxiety including personal experiences and social systems. There’s no one size fits all for dealing with financial anxiety but it’s important to talk about and identify ways we can move forward as individuals and in our immediate communities. Here are some questions to reflect on:

What is my experience with financial anxiety and how has it changed over time?

What beliefs do I hold that intensify financial anxiety in others?

How can we hold visions for different systems while meeting current needs? by @anotherlovedone_

This is one of my favorite practices to help me identify how I contribute to others. It can be financially but I usually think of ways I’ve showed up that have more to do with holding space, kindness, or even letting someone merge on the highway 😩🤣.

It’s important to ask what we are thankful for receiving but it’s equally important to consider what we offer. Think of it like a little ceremony where you’re giving yourself flowers. Or even simply remembering how great it felt when someone directly expressed their gratitude for you! Don’t hesitate to consider gratitude from your ancestors, plant relatives, pet companions, etc.

Aside from selling branded merch, I also facilitate financial education workshops! I’ve learned a lot over the years and wanted to share how far I’ve come. I used to think I had to know everything under the sun about personal finance before sharing my offerings. But a true teacher knows they will always be a student first!

Financial education workshops are available for Phoenix & Tucson based folx in-person, and nationwide virtually. DM or comment any questions you have and submit an inquiry at anotherlovedone.com/contact! by @anotherlovedone_

WOOT WOOT! I joined @shamantaima’s podcast, The Coherent Life, this week to share more about Another Loved One. This was my very first time as a guest on a podcast! Shaman Tai Ma was my coherent life coach for awhile, so it feels special that the inner and outer work I’ve committed to got me invited on their show.

While working with Shaman Tai Ma, I learned what coherence meant and began developing skills to get myself out of survival mode and into a state of coherence. It’s a daily practice, daily choice, and skill set that requires attention and clear intention! It’s a full circle moment for me because Another Loved One was born through Shaman Tai Ma’s teachings!

The Coherent Life Podcast is available on most streaming platforms, and has soooooo much valuable knowledge for those of you looking to consciously create the life you want. I’ll add this week’s episode in my bye-oh 😉, but I highly encourage you to check out other episodes that you are curious about.

I’m the last person you’d expect to be quoting scripture but I looked up the misquote and realized I needed to share my perspective and AL1’s role.

Financial fawning is defined by Trauma of Money as “a form of self-abandonment that stems from a deep-seated fear of abandonment by others.” It’s deeper than “keeping up with the Joneses”. It’s a money defense to protect ourselves from the traumas we’ve endured that made us feel unworthy and ashamed.

In AL1 Financial Education workshops, we look at how our experiences (money-related and not) create these inner dynamics. We hold space for what we feel, affirm that what we want is not too much, and create action plans for our visions.

You are loved & always protected 💖

btw.. I said household but my siblings are great, it was more so my parent.
