Kim Duggins always says “be kinder than necessary because everyone is going through something.” (And I know everyone in GL is laughing right now as they read this) But I didn’t start practicing and appreciating this until I started struggling with my own mental health. My brain is stuffed and clouded with my own struggles that I forget that people are feeling exactly what I’m feeling and could use the same love, support, and kindness I crave during my own hard times. I am thankful that I am surrounded by a community of people back home that was preached this so much and has showed this to me. It’s World Mental Health Day and I want everyone to hear this and remember this because everyone can use some love, support, kindness, compassion, and consideration that I am beyond grateful has been given to me by everyone at my church back home.
