Club chefs, 40 Under 40 honorees, and brothers Anthony Capua and Vincent Capua created an opportunity for their respective culinary teams to work and learn together.

“There is so much talent inside the club culinary community—right here in our own backyard,” says Anthony. “We should be opening our doors to one another more often.” by @ant_capua

Reflecting on Chef to Chef 2025 a few weeks later, I find myself deeply inspired by how beautifully it encapsulated the themes I explored in my last blog regarding the transformative potential of this remarkable conference. Speaking about culinary versatility and the various pathways to success in diverse markets was an honor and a privilege that I will cherish. Yet, the experience resonated far beyond the podium for me.

This conference was a kaleidoscope of exceptional speakers and captivating demonstrations, but it also represented my personal journey of discovery in Baltimore—a city I initially approached with hesitation but soon came to embrace wholeheartedly for its distinct charm and vibrant culinary tapestry. The event’s impact transcended mere knowledge; it ignited a fervor within me that I believe can truly reshape the culinary landscape.

Attending alongside my executive sous chef added another layer of richness to the experience, especially witnessing his enthusiastic participation in the Chef of the Year competition. Equally stirring was seeing my brother, a first-time executive chef, immerse himself in the excitement of the event. Our journey together since we were teenagers felt nothing short of surreal, a testament to how far we’ve come. Above all, it’s about the deep connections I’ve forged with extraordinary chefs and vendors over the years—relationships that transcend the confines of professionalism and blossom into bonds of friendship and family.

I am immensely grateful to the conference staff, particularly Joanna and her dedicated team, for their unwavering commitment to enhancing our industry. Their relentless pursuit of connection and the vision for a brighter culinary future is not just commendable; it has the power to fundamentally transform the club culinary landscape.
