In order to be virtuous we must constantly be at war with our flesh.

As Ps. Anthony reminded us, that is what it is to be a follower of Christ.

You don't have to have the perfect words or the perfect walk for God to use YOU.

Keep living for Christ, and He will use you to be a light, to sow seeds, and encourage others in your world. by @anthonyflemingpa

God wants us to KNOW Him.

Ps. Anthony reminded us of this through John 17:3

“This is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and the one you have sent — Jesus Christ.”

This was a tough post.

We laughed, ate, served, laughed again, prayed together, worked out, and learned from one another.

After you found Christ, the passion was real—and contagious. The transformation was obvious. Hearing your wife speak about how much you had changed and grown was beautiful.

You served. You poured your heart and soul into others continually. You impacted more men than you know. I spoke to many of them last night, and sometimes you take for granted how many men who need encouragement.

Life is a journey, and there are always lessons in the highs and lows, the blessings and the battles. Through it all, your wife, your kids, and your extended family adored you—and that often says more about a man than anything else.

You owned your mistakes and always wanted to get better. This showed your true faith and commitment to discipleship.

And somewhere along the way, you became a great friend. You fought like a warrior to the end.

You’ll be deeply missed. We are here for your family—always. I saw the beauty of the body of Christ again through all the praying, serving, hospitality and fight that many demonstrated through the last few months.

It was my honor to be part of your life and discipleship journey. Until the day we see you again in the presence of the King.

Love you, sir.

“These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar… But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.”
