New anti-raids flyers with updated information!

These flyers go into a lot more detail about specifics and cover topics which the previous ones didn't such as e-bikes and delivery drivers.

Ever wanted to get involved with Leeds Anti-Raids?

We do outreach on a regular basis, speaking to local businesses, which lasts around 30-60 minutes. If you'd like to join us, just give us a message. There's no commitment and you can join outreach sessions as and when you feel like it, in your local area. by @antiraidsleeds

Everybody to Kenmure Street: Film Screening and Panel

Join us for a special screening of Everybody to Kenmure Street, telling the story of Glasgow residents coming together to stop a deportation on Kenmure Street.

After the film, we’ll be joined by Right to Remain, Leeds Anti-Raids and Anti-Racist Movement for a panel + Q&A on raids, reporting, detention and how immigration enforcement affects all of us.

As detention expands and enforcement becomes more embedded in everyday life, we’ll talk about why these aren’t side issues, and how we can build collective safety, solidarity and practical support with people at risk.

The event is part of Right to Remain’s National Week of Solidarity to End Immigration Detention.

Everybody to Kenmure Street: Film Screening + Panel 🎬✊

Join us for a special screening of Everybody to Kenmure Street, telling the story of Glasgow residents coming together to stop a deportation on Kenmure Street.

After the film, Right to Remain, Leeds Anti-Raids and Anti-Racist Movement will be in conversation about immigration raids, reporting, detention and the ways immigration enforcement reaches into everyday life.

As detention expands and enforcement becomes more visible in our communities, we’ll ask what it means to keep each other safe, build solidarity and offer practical support to people at risk.

There’ll also be time to eat together, meet people and build connections. This is a family-friendly gathering rooted in resisting racism and the far right and building belonging in Bradford.

We have made some major changes to the Immigration Enforcement sections of our Key Guide on Immigration Enforcement: Reporting and Raids.

🔵 The updated guide includes clearer information about voluntary questioning and formal immigration powers, police and Immigration Enforcement working together, warrants and searches, phones and electronic devices, and what people can do during and after an enforcement operation.

🔵 We have also rewritten the Action Sections to make them easier to use during an enforcement situation based on what we are learning from anti-raids organising and what communities are experiencing on the ground.

🔵 Immigration enforcement continues to increase (Between January and June 2026, the Home Office carried out 7,270 illegal working visits and made 4,756 arrests – that’s an increase of 31% and 20% compared with the same period in 2025.) There has also been a new policy on illegal working for people living in asylum support, while the government is pushing ahead with plans to significantly expand the immigration detention estate. At the same time, access to legal advice in immigration detention has been recorded at an all-time low.

SERCO is one of the UK’s biggest Border Profiteers, and they're having their AGM in London TODAY.

From running prison-like detention centres with conditions known to be appalling, to 24/7 GPS tagging described as “torture”, SERCO Group makes millions from the suffering of people seeking safety.

Millions that could be spent protecting people seeking safety and building communities, not breaking them apart. Sign the petition to tell the gov to #StopSerco using the link in our linktree.

We're seeing a huge rise of shops being targeted by immigration enforcement, but what do you do about it?

If you're a bystander, go over to ICE, and ask them:
"Did the owner of this establishment invite you in?"
"What right are you using to be in this establishment?"

Film them. If they don't answer with anything coherent, tell them they need to leave. Tell the shop owners that the ICE agents do not have to be in their shop if they don't want them to be. by @antiraidsleeds

As more people learn that Immigration Enforcement operates in the UK, we have created a training resource and statement which we are very grateful for @right_to_remain for hosting so we can reach as many people as possible. Links are in our bio!

Resistance isn’t only physical - everyday solidarity can make communities harder to intimidate.

This is our call to action. We’re inviting you to step up – and yes, to get a bit uncomfortable. That doesn’t have to mean putting your body in front of an enforcement van or joining a protest. There’s a time and place for different tactics, and we all have a role: cooking, childcare, translation, welfare support, fundraising, logistics, admin, comms, outreach, or simply being a calm, informed person others can turn to.

A good first step is to learn more. Watch our video on how to spot and resist a raid, and what community protection can look like through know-your-rights outreach and connection. You can also find resources, guidance and your local group on the Anti-Raids Network website. And honestly one of the most powerful places to start is close to home with a conversation with your neighbours, coworkers, local shops, or community groups.

Leeds Event for the National Day of Solidarity to End Immigration Detention

Information stall the Hibiscus Rising statue in Aire Park

Come down for a chat!

Key messages of the wider event:

Hostility towards migrant communities is filling headlines, social media and even our streets. But what’s less visible is the powerful solidarity with people subject to our hostile immigration system that is shown every day, up and down the country. From volunteers supporting people at reporting centres to grassroots groups helping people find community and belonging, this quiet, everyday solidarity rarely gets much public attention.

So we want to celebrate this solidarity and make it impossible to ignore.

We’re demanding an end to the hostile environment that punishes and scapegoats migrant communities, striving for a world where everyone can live in dignity and humanity, wherever they need to be. While our Government promotes its dangerous and unworkable ‘1 in 1 out’ policy and gleefully shares deportation videos in a bid to appease those who bring hatred to our streets, we’re magnifying the voices of the communities who want to thrive together in solidarity,

Detention is one of the most visible and cruel examples of how newcomers and our friends, neighbours and family are targeted by our hostile environment. The threat of detention hangs over too many migrants’ lives, and it robs our communities of the valuable contributions of many beloved members. For those who are imprisoned, detention means being locked up indefinitely, isolated and cut off from community in often appalling conditions.

We're calling for:
An end to immigration detention and the hostile environment
A system that works better for everyone: where we don’t waste our shared resources on locking up people who just want to build a life here, but build a society where we’re all able to thrive, no matter where we come from.
Communities to come together to make their solidarity with people who’ve built new lives in this country impossible to ignore. by @antiraidsleeds

over the last year, leeds has remained one of the main targets for immigration raids in the north east, yorkshire & humberside.

the home office says raids are about “immigration control.” but in reality, they are racist and classist tools of fear. they punish survival, while hiding the real causes of hardship: greed, power, political choices. it doesn't have to be this way.

this post shares what the latest foi data shows, what it hides, and how we resist together. from leeds to palestine, congo, sudan, kashmir, kurdistan and beyond, our struggles are connected. borders are violent by design, but solidarity crosses every border they draw.

✨ please swipe through, share, and talk about this with your friends and neighbours.
