YEAR 🤌🏼 ABROAD 🤘🏼 COMPLETED 😃 IT 😏 what the flip We’ve had some highs and some lows but all in all, what a bloody good year. We’ve come far and definitely pushed ourselves out the ol comfort zone, needless to say, that’s what makes me who I am and will be (I hope) in the long run of life 🌟 Lil anya is really proud that she made it through the rollercoaster ride and out the other side. Just the euro lifestyle and daily things I get to do are things that younger me always dreamed about so that’s pretty cool that’s it’s been my reality for the last 12 months. I wanna be the person I used to look up to when I was growing up, and I think we’re doing a good job of that :) Munich chapter has been pretty much perfect - we’ve hiked we’ve boogied we’ve swum in the lakes and worked on the Olympics. What more could I really ask for! And made some life long friends 🥹 Language levels status check: 🇫🇷French - certified wannabe (can actually speak it) 🇩🇪German - don’t even ask 🇬🇧English - still a full blown waffler you CANT STOP ME Signing off from Anya’s abroad, who knows what will become of it, but for now, merci, danke and TA for tuning in folks xxxxxx love and hugs by @anyas.abroad
MOSTAR - Stop 2 on travelling the Balkans !! (side note, I have fallen in love with Bosnia and would urge anyone who hasn’t thought about it to go!!) I stayed for 3 nights at Hostel Backpackers and had a great time. Hostel is clean, staff friendly and rooms generally quiet & clean! They have a fab outdoor terrace and common area which I’m fast learning is really crucial for meeting people when solo travelling. WHAT TO DO / WEAR TO EAT / VISIT ETC: 🌟 ROTA - loved this spot!! You’re looking at like 5-8 euros for dinner and it’s tastyyyy. Food generally was SO cheap but I really liked this place for the staff, good location and food. I tried Cevapi (traditional) and the pita was insane! 🌟 OLD BRIDGE & DIVING - what Mostar is pretty famous for! Whilst I’d missed the Red Bull competition in early Sept., daily pro divers make the jump to try and earn money from tourists. You can also pay to dive yourself - with training from professionals it costs €50. 🌟 OLD TOWN & BAZAAR - Wander the streets for the shops, food and souvenirs. 🌟 DAY TRIP TO BLAGAJ - MONASTERY AND FORTRESS - take the local bus (line 10) to Blagaj. It takes about 20 mins and you walk down the river Buna to get to the famous national monument. I also found a hike up to the fortress for an amazing valley view. Don’t stray from the paths due to risk of unexplored mines - I’m being serious! It’s quite well known amongst locals! 🌟 FORTICA HILL HIKE & SKYWALK - STUNNING best views at sunset. There’s a zip line, and via Ferrara at the top plus a restaurant/bar for drinks and an amazing location. OTHER THINGS you can do but i didn’t have time for! 🌟 Kravica Waterfalls 🌟 Day trip to Sarajevo on train (if you’re not going/coming from Sarajevo) #balkans #europe #balkanstravel #mostar #bosnia #bih #eurosummer #travels #whattodo #whattoeat #mostar #sarajevo #backpacking #hostels #lovebalkans #easterneurope #hiking #granolagirl #outdoorsy by @anyas.abroad

the perfect Saturday afternoon spent sauna’ing 📍Kin Sauna, Beltonville Farm, Buxton, Peak District I’m not a big fan of ice baths but this actually was the best thing EVER. We were up in the peaks and I just thought, let’s go for it. The sauna almost guaranteed that you could warm up afterwards and you come out feeling so refreshed. I sound #zen but it’s true and feel like if you know you know!! Thank you @kin.sauna for the most lovely experience! We will be back 🫶🏼🫶🏼 #sauna #uksaunas #travel #peakdistrict by @anyas.abroad

Apple Crumble Scones with my afternoon tea… say no more 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ If you’re looking for the perfect afternoon tea in the Peak District / Derbyshire Dales, then you really need look no further! 🫖 Edensor Tea Cottages, Chatsworth 🍁 #britishfood #peakdistrict #derbyshire #afternoontea #sweettreats by @anyas.abroad
staycation mode : ACTIVATED ✅ And what a way to start things off with afternoon tea at @theedensorteacottage ☕️☕️☕️ Sarah & her lovely team (Lauren, you were so so kind!) invited us to come and try out their tea rooms on the Chatsworth Estate, located in the Peak District. Now, even if I can be bribed with a sweet treat or two, I don’t think I’ve ever had a better afternoon tea in a more fairytale location. On top of the food, location, and ADORABLE autumnal decorations, what stood out was the wonderful team who looked after us 🫶🏼 The cottage also could not be in a better place - after a long stroll around Chatsworth Estate, you can fill your boots with plenty of goodies & warm up with a lovely cup of teaaaa! All in all, if you’re looking for the best afternoon tea in the peak districts, I think you’re onto a winner here… I can hand on heart say that you won’t be disappointed 🫖🧁🍁🍰 More videos coming soon!!! #ukstaycation #derbyshire #peaks #tearooms by @anyas.abroad
