Less than ONE MONTH until our co-founder @apcalabrese takes on the NYC Marathon!! 🗽🏃‍♀️💙

This year, she’s running on behalf of the @womenssportsfoundation, an organization whose mission hits especially close to home for us at Sequel.

The Women’s Sports Foundation helps girls get into sports and stay in the game. At Sequel, we’re working toward that same future from a different angle: creating period products girls and women can rely on throughout every stage of their lives, so their period is never a reason they’re sidelined.

Amanda grew up as an athlete and ultimately co-founded Sequel because she knew girls and women deserved better period products. Now, she’s running 26.2 miles to support the next generation of girls in sports!

If you’d like to support Amanda’s run and the Women’s Sports Foundation, check out the link in our bio to donate! taken in New York City by @apcalabrese

When I arrived in New York City last fall I kept three goals to myself, and this feature in the NYT was the final one to check off of that list🥹 thank you @brefootcontessa for the beautiful words, attention to every detail and for putting “tampon” in a baseball headline, to our team at the @yankees for being our biggest champions and really believing in the power of female fans and to @trysequel @itshannkaplan @greta_meyer for giving me the coolest damn job in the world💙 taken in New York City by @apcalabrese

When @aliyah.boston reached out as a fan and user of @trysequel tampons we knew we had to make her our first owner and ambassador and tell the world in the biggest way possible. For this year’s @indianafever tampon game, we built a locker room inspired by the new Fever Sports Performance Center on the main concourse with @czarnowskicollective so fans could be a part of Aliyah’s game day routine, @trysequel tampons included!! This wouldn’t have been possible for our teeny tiny team without the support from the brilliant @czarnowskicollective team, the ever reliable Fever team of @courtneyyancey and Erika, and team Aliyah @jakewolken @wmebasketball. This week on the pod: the woman who re-engineered the tampon for the first time in ~100 years.

Amanda went from 9x national champion in surf lifesaving → Stanford product design engineer → co-founder & CMO of Sequel, the first spiral tampon (now in locker rooms and stadiums from the Indiana Fever to Audi Field).

We get into fundraising as a woman pitching a product most men won’t talk about, why she treats periods like game-day equipment, and why choosing to design a period product with athletes in mind was not “too niche” the way she was initially told.

Amanda is a delight, and her episode out NOW 🎧 Comment TAMPON and I’ll send it straight to your DMs.
