SWIM CALIFORNIA 🏊‍♀️

Today @catherine.breed became the first human being EVER to swim the ENTIRE 900 mile coastline of California in 111 days! This is truly a mind-blowing achievement and one that is really hard to wrap your head around even as a life-long swimmer born, raised and living my entire life in California.

What a pleasure and honor to document the final anchor leg of her historical journey. As impressive as the individual physical and mental prowess needed to complete this monumental swim, was Cat and her amazing crew’s (mostly women) positive attitude and professionalism to accomplish a mission like this. I’ve experienced a lot of endurance and adventure trips in my life and they reminded me that teamwork is dreamwork, best to leave your ego at the door, and women can do ANYTHING they put their mind to (probably better than men in most cases!)

Kudos to the crew who were with her the entire way including Captain Maisie @maisie.bristow and First Mate Heather @heather._h (thanks for scoring my giblet dismounts into the ocean :) and to her filmers @sara.kinney and @ecam44 who were so cool with me popping in at the end. And shout out to my good buddy @tmsrally for the waterski taxi 7 miles out to sea for a couple of the days.

Thank you for reminding us to keep it fun, love and protect Mother Ocean, and always chase your dreams no matter how big… CONGRATS CAT!!!

Period supplies where she can find them. A private way to ask for help. Someone who responds without making it a big deal.

That support belongs at practice, in the gym, on campus and wherever she moves.

Less than ONE MONTH until our co-founder @apcalabrese takes on the NYC Marathon!! 🗽🏃‍♀️💙

This year, she’s running on behalf of the @womenssportsfoundation, an organization whose mission hits especially close to home for us at Sequel.

The Women’s Sports Foundation helps girls get into sports and stay in the game. At Sequel, we’re working toward that same future from a different angle: creating period products girls and women can rely on throughout every stage of their lives, so their period is never a reason they’re sidelined.

Amanda grew up as an athlete and ultimately co-founded Sequel because she knew girls and women deserved better period products. Now, she’s running 26.2 miles to support the next generation of girls in sports!

The tampon needed a rebrand.

It was unchanged since the 1930s, so two engineer students at Stanford - Amanda and Greta - did it!

As high-performing athletes, they knew the works arounds their teammates were doing and talking about in the lockeroom when game day and their period synced up. Surely there was a better way. Turns out it was the design and a faulty absorption, not a heavy flow.
