Getting to work with Director/DP Steven Soderbergh (aka DP Peter Andrews) as Gaffer is the highlight of my career so far. Not only did I get to work with someone whose work I have loved and respected since I was a kid, as a Beetles fan hearing about John Lennon’s last day on earth from those who spent it with him was enthralling.
Keeping it mostly to myself for over a year through post has been tough but stoked it recently premiered @festivaldecannes.
Thank you @nancyasaslow for trusting me and the gang, who I couldn’t have done it without

Malcesine, Lago di Garda, IT last October.
One of my favorite places. Italy’s largest lake whose northern shore meets the beginning of the Dolomites.

Determined to post last years’ vacation photos before we take another trip taken in Malcesine, Lago di Garda by @apdh

Golden Hour in Broadway, UK for my birthday last fall.
Landed in London quite ill and even on my birthday I slept till 3p and only ate a piece of toast…but the sunset at Broadway Tower was worth the venture out taken in Broadway Cotswolds by @apdh

My grandpa aka “Pawie” was my next door neighbor growing up. He gave me a ride to school every day in his old Ford conversion van I was embarrassed of at the time…now I daily drive a camper van…one of the many things I can credit him with.
If I’ve made you laugh, if we have nerded out about cars, if you have ever had to negotiate with me or, God forbid, sell/buy something to me on Marketplace, I have him to thank. He taught me “if you don’t have time to do something right you don’t have time to do it. Don’t half ass things.” He taught me to take care of things, like his, now my, 1972 Charger in pristine condition. Every time my cars are dirty I feel like I’m going to disappoint him.

More importantly, he taught me to take care of people. So if I’ve ever helped you out take a moment for Dan aka Danny aka Pawie aka Poppy aka “Is that Kenny Rogers?” Winstead. by @apdh

Second round of my @amangiri Summer edit.
The first thing that struck me is the dramatic difference from hour to hour, even minute by minute, as the shadows move across the sculptural architecture creating frames within frames.

@tanveerbadal and I weren’t exactly lucky with weather so chasing the moments of sun and shadow placement felt especially serendipitous when it worked out. taken in Amangiri by @apdh

@tanveerbadal mentioned he often doesn’t get photos of himself working so I took that as a challenge. taken in Amangiri by @apdh
