Autumn in Amsterdam - this time last year I escaped for a long weekend with one of my favourite partners in crime. And I think it was a trip that stole my heart.

As we begin to hunker down into the cosy season I was reflecting back on this trip, it inspired me more than I could have imagined. From atmospheric dinners over candlelight, to one of the most incredible places I have ever been @museumopsolder a colour palette that has blown me completely away, alongside the tiles, the joinery and the entire architecture... A story that truly captured my imagination.

I found it hard to settle on these images and could have shared more happily. Plotting a return trip soon!

Until then here's a few photos of inspiration for my favourite season ahead 🍂 taken in Amsterdam by @appreciationprojectuk

"If you find that social media are rabbit warren's when you get lost underground, then consider that Appreciation Project will pull you out and create a wonderland that's real" - this quote from a recent testimonial sums it up nicely.

I find the majority of clients come to us in a state of overwhelm. Desperate to make their home full of personality and to be unique to them, but have become frustrated and don't know which way to turn. If that's you, you are not alone.

The first thing we do is sit and listen, to the problems and your aspirations, the draw backs, how you want to feel and what that means in reality. We are have a very collaborative process and we work with some great teams to really bring your dreams to life.

We are currently fully booked until January, so if you would like help with your project get in touch ahead of time and let's get plotting.

We work both in person and remotely, across the UK and internationally.

Creating real homes, for real people.

Beyond thrilled to have so many 5 star reviews, I thought it was high time I shared some of them with you. We are very fortunate and have worked with some truly wonderful clients, far and wide!

We really push ourselves and our clients to delve further and create homes that are truly unique to them. As you can see in the photo of my own home here, it's perfectly unique to my family and my personality, interests and collections. Pulling out the stories of each client and the home itself is what sets our designs apart from others. Plus a few wild cards as I like to say, always bringing in things you would never have imagined.

If you would like to discuss your project, get in touch and let's get plotting!

Clocking In.

I got my head down on home office design ideas - printed across eight pages and featured in the latest @livingetcofficial magazine.

As we teeter towards a little less light, now is the time to bed in and make your home office workspace - however large or small, permanent or temporary - work for you. The big shift from the designers I spoke to is being confident enough to make the investment. Make the most of those awkward niches and nooks, order the statement desk you’ve been promising yourself, add stand-out storage, and light it like you mean it 🔥

Thanks to the wonderful designers I spoke to for this - Kaisa Kronberger of @studio.bosko, Natasha Lyon of @appreciationprojectuk (that @alfrednewall shelving!), @banda, Alyssa Owens of @alyssaowens_design, @johnlewis, @davidcollinsstudio (and the always brilliant @archelo.agency team!), Gemma Fabbri of @studiofabbri, Emily Lindberg of @emilylindberg.design, and Julia Green @juliagreenstylist

And to the Living Etc team too.

Be bold with colour and print, and embrace craftsmanship in your home. It’s why so many of our clients come to us, and how we create spaces that feel unique, personal and full of character.

Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of working with artist Rosin Morrison of @tinysolitude on a small campaign. I was captivated by her joyful scenes from the moment I discovered her work, and knew we could create something special together.

Drawing on some of my favourite colour palettes, our Stack ottoman and Line lamps (more on those another day!), we brought the images to life with a striped rug by @epoch.textiles and my vintage sofa from @shop.petit.tresor

The whole process was a joy, and I’m looking forward to sharing more collaborations with artists and craftspeople soon! by @appreciationprojectuk

It's nearly that time of year again to turn cosy mode on, draw the curtains, put the fire on, read a book, watch movies and lean into being extra snug.
