I asked ChatGPT 4 questions about my mortgage world and it got a little too comfortable. 😂

I asked it:
✨ what first-time buyers always ask
✨ what people get wrong about mortgages
✨ why mortgage paperwork feels so weirdly personal
✨ and where it sees my mortgage career in 5 years

The answers were a mix of:
“Yep, I hear that every day.”
“Thank you for saying it,” and
“…okay ChatGPT, why are you reading me like this?”

But the biggest theme?
Buying a home isn’t really about memorizing mortgage terminology.

It’s about knowing:
➡️What actually matters.
➡️What doesn’t.
➡️What deserves your attention.
➡️And what absolutely does not deserve your panic.
Which is basically my entire personality as a loan officer. 😂

I’m the girl who will explain the math, read the paperwork, ask the annoying question before it becomes a problem, and still remind you that getting approved is not the same thing as making a smart move.

And apparently AI thinks I’m still going to be doing exactly that five years from now… just louder. ✨

Tuesday tea: I have expensive taste. I also have a very selective checkout process. ☕

I can love the bag and buy it preloved. Want the trip and plan for it. Appreciate the house and ask whether the payment leaves room for my actual life.

The discount doesn’t get to make the decision for me. Neither does someone else’s highlight reel.

Before an upgrade, I ask:
• Do I want it—or want to be seen with it?
• What will it cost beyond the price tag?
• What gets less room if I say yes?

Sometimes it’s a yes. Sometimes it’s “beautiful, but not today.”

My version of luxury includes enjoying what I choose AND having options afterward.

I have expensive taste. I ask questions. I do the math. And I want a life with room for ambition, love, good music, and days like this.

I’ve worked since I was 14. I’m proud of being responsible. But I refuse to make working and paying bills my entire personality.

I want to build something AND enjoy my life while I’m building it.

So here’s your reminder: you don’t need to be richer, thinner, married, promoted, or completely “figured out” to let yourself be seen enjoying your life.

Make choices you can stand behind. Wear the outfit. Take the picture. Be affectionate. Get excited about something.

Mortgage rates don’t follow the Fed beat for beat. And your homebuying plan deserves more than “hopefully they drop.”

My processor brain wants the full picture: monthly payment, cash to close, and money left to actually enjoy your life.
