Parker is all set for his first year at Kentucky Wesleyan College! It was tough to say goodbye this morning, but we are filled with pride and excitement for him and this new chapter! Bonus, he won the roommate jackpot! Spending time with Wille and his parents made this transition fun and filled with laughter💜 And bringing Chloe with us was the best decision ever, she helped get that dorm room set up like a pro!

And just like that, Parker is off to college!
It’s hard to believe the little boy and athlete we have all watched grow up is heading off to start this next big chapter playing golf at Kentucky Wesleyan. I am so incredibly proud to be the aunt of a kind, hardworking, determined and passionate person like Parker.

This song was Parker’s “pump up” song when he was younger before games and it is still so true. He gets back up and is consistently pushing himself to be better and do better. Great job to his mom and dad!

Parker, we all can’t wait to hear about your new adventures, watch you create some of the best memories, play LOTS of golf, and make Kentucky Wesleyan feel like home. There are so many people back home cheering you on every step of the way. We love you so much and are SO proud of you! 🎓⛳️💜

Highly recommend a going away party that features Teppanyaki Chef Sam and his Sake Gun. We laughed so hard we cried, we cried so hard we laughed, and most importantly, we celebrated the incredible person Parker has become. Friday was more than Maddie’s preschool graduation, it was the end of an era for our family.

Five cousins have walked through the doors of Lakeview Preschool and learned under the loving guidance of Ms. Sylvia. As we celebrated Maddie’s graduation, we found ourselves revisiting every corner of that classroom, remembering where each cousin played, learned, their favorite toys and even where they took their naps.

What a gift it has been to share this special place. Lakeview has been so much more than a preschool, it has been a foundation for curiosity, confidence, friendship, and a lifelong love of learning.

Gulp. Our baby is graduating from high school today. It feels fast and slow, light and heavy, and very surreal. No more first day Stance Socks and Vans, no more emails to attendance, and no more permission slips. Parker went to 7 schools in Lake Forest (if you include our family room) and made a lasting impression at each one. I am so proud of the way he has always chosen to be his own person, taken pride in each place he learned, and challenged himself with new experiences, while being dedicated to golf of course. Today he’s wearing a pin with my dad’s photo pinned inside his shirt. My mom had it made for him because she knows how proud Opah would have been of Parker. We all are. If you know my parents, you know the goodbye. ❤️

The waving, the smiles, the standing in the driveway until we’re long gone. It’s become a family favorite and one of those simple traditions that perfectly captures who they are.

As we celebrate 56 years of marriage today, I’m reminded that a beautiful life is built from moments just like these. Small acts of love repeated over and over again.

Parker’s last high school golf banquet. We knew this was coming, but it still doesn’t feel real. The last 4 years have shaped Parker into a leader, a competitor, and a cheerleader. It has been a pleasure to watch.

Tonight he was honored with many accolades, Birdie King for having 100 birdies over his 4 years, Golfer of the Year, for having the lowest scoring average, and the biggest surprise, the Teammate of the year award which had been named for his mentor Jake Newman, and going forward is named for Parker. This lump in my throat may be permanent. Proud, proud, proud mom over here. by @aprildeutschman

18!!!! Parker Parker you are an amazing young man, and you make everyone around you strive to be better. You are a natural leader, highly in tune with what is happening around you, and driven to accomplish every goal you set for yourself. You also may have the sharpest sense of humor in the family;) You have been responsible and mature forever, now your age has caught up with you!
