Hi y’all! I’m Apsara 🤠
.
I thought I’d keep this post here to keep you in the loop on what I am up to in life.
📍 TX, NYC, & Mountain View
💼 Project Enablement Lead @reearthinitiative (non-profit that empowers youth in climate spaces) & former Aerospace Engineer @nasa
🎓 B.S. in CS from @tamu and Masters in Environmental Studies from @uofpenn
.
What else I’m up to and learning about 🐿️
- @prcceh former fellow
- Exploring film/TV (the dream is to one day create a documentary)
- Writing two screenplays (very very slowly 🙈)
- Learning about international and domestic policy
- Absolutely love seeing new places, hearing new experiences, and am everywhere all at once so (I probably go to every corner of the country atleast once a year so lmk if you want to grab a coffee 😌)
.
Other random things:
I am a huge proponent of environmental protection/conservation and a fierce advocate for human rights. I live for the beautiful planet we call home and love and listen for everyone and everything. It’s so important to me that voices are not lost even when they are silenced🎙️I lead with kindness (I hope) but also with strength, and I can go to the ends of the world for what I care about. I fail… A LOT… and nothing, LITERALLY NOTHING, comes to me naturally, but holy 💩, I am determined; I think this also makes me very open to learning new things and changing my views (I am always asking questions, even if they go against everything I believe in because I want to know what I don’t know. Some folks would be appalled at some of the content I consume, but it’s so important for me to be able to talk to people who have never heard my perspective. Everyone has their one way. This is my way of changing my own, and other folks’, thoughts and actions. Little by little.)
.
I’ll try to keep this post updated so y’all can tune in every so often.
.
And please reach out if you have any questions, have any cool experiences to share, or if something here peaks your interest! 🌻

Shubho Mahalaya ☀️
Every year, wherever we were in the world, Mahalaya morning would always begin with this iconic oration. With sleep still weighing heavy on our eyelids, my sister and I would toddle our way to our parents preparing for a season of celebration and triumph of good over evil and promptly fall back asleep on mom’s lap. Every year, this day reminds me of my ancestors and my roots and nostalgia fills my heart and home, for a world I seldom experienced but still know as my own. Here are some moments I got the opportunity to capture earlier this year in Kumartuli (where the idols of this season are crafted each year).

GET IT DONE SAN DIEGO!! Get your votes in TODAY!! Every day of this campaign, (including today 😊 this is her rn getting out every last vote😤) Sparky has shown what a candidate for the people will actually bring. Real, progressive change is finally on the ballot with @sparkyforcongress and I could not be prouder of the incredible, people centered campaign she has run. Let’s bring it home 😤💪🏽✊🏽 taken in San Diego, California by @apsaramitra
