The Department of Physiotherapy, School of Allied Health Sciences & Research (SAHSR), Jamia Hamdard, successfully organized PHYSIOCONNECT International 2026 as a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on 28 September 2026, on the theme “Gamification of Clinical Reasoning and Advanced Motor Skill Development in the Digital Age.

The CME was conducted under the leadership of Organizing Chairperson Prof. (Dr.) Sohrab Ahmad Khan, with Dr. Kalpana Zutshi as the Organizing Secretary, and Dr. Charu Chhabra, Dr. Shaima Saifi, and Dr. Ifra Aman as Co-Organizing Secretaries. The programme was anchored by Jasia Farzeen and Anushka Tiwari, MPT students, who warmly welcomed the gathering and introduced the theme of the CME. The academic sessions generated enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. by @apudpt

Jambo from Kenya! 👋 From August 3rd-15th, our Kenya DPT Team traveled to Eldoret, providing PT services at Living Room International Hospital. 🇰🇪 It was truly an honor and a blessing to work alongside @livingroominternational and their talented physiotherapists & staff at LRH, as well as at Kimbilio and in the villages of Kipkaren. Huge thank you to LRH for the kindness, hospitality, and love that you showed our team. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported us (with every bake sale, fundraiser, etc. 🤭) And thank you to our fearless leaders Cortez and Alyssa for your guidance and mentorship during this journey! Asante sana! 🙏 God is good all the time, all the time God is good. taken in Living Room Hospital - Eldoret by @apudpt

From the Cougar football field to NFL sidelines, Blaine Aguiar ’18, DPT ’23, has spent his career helping athletes recover, rebuild, and return to the game they love. After trusting the process through APU’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, Blaine landed a dream role working with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Through early morning practices and game-day fireworks, his focus has remained rooted in the heart of physical therapy: building intentional connections and caring for every patient like family.

“The true ‘why’ of sports physical therapy isn't elite game days—it's impacting individual athletes through their toughest moments,” Blaine said. “As a clinician, true guidance means having raw heart-to-hearts, navigating the ‘why me’ mindset, and celebrating small wins. Ultimately, a high schooler deserves the exact same energy, care, and empathy as an NFL player. Building those lasting human connections and helping athletes reclaim their dreams is what truly matters.”

In this week’s lab for Advanced Patient Management, we covered ACL reconstruction rehab focusing on return to sport/performance and how we can provide the best care to set up these patients for long term success 💪

We got to venture into the Biomechanics lab, use force plates, use the isokinetic dynamometer, as well as administer performance tests such as the Noyes hop test, depth jumps, drop jumps, Y balance test, and T-test!

🌟As future clinicians, it’s always important to perform the tests ourselves before giving them to our patients. Big thank you to Dr. Cossin, Dr. Patterson, and our adjuncts for leading us through this awesome lab! 🤾 taken in Doctor of Physical Therapy- Azusa Pacific University by @apudpt
