Isaiah 54 | Zion | Gathering Israel | Covenants | Ordinances | Jesus Christ | Wide Tent Strong Stakes

📌 SAVE this for your next study of Isaiah 54.

🤎 SHARE this with someone who wants to gather widely and stay deeply anchored in Christ.

What if the Lord’s command to enlarge the tent was never an invitation to loosen what holds it down?

Isaiah says:

Lengthen.
Strengthen.

Make room. Extend the connection. Drive the stakes deeper.

A tent with no stakes isn’t expansive. It’s unstable.
But a tent that refuses to enlarge isn’t gathering.

The Lord asks for both.

And then I noticed something I can’t stop thinking about: the Hebrew word Isaiah uses for “stake” in Isaiah 54:2 is the same word translated “nail” in Isaiah 22:23:

“I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place.”

A stake is only as secure as what it is driven into.

For me, one of the clearest covenant applications is this:
the stakes represent the covenants and ordinances that bind us to Jesus Christ. Our SURE FOUNDATION, our SURE PLACED.

Our covenants and ordinances matter because through them we are fastened more deeply to Him.

So as Zion expands, COVENANT connection should NOT become weaker. It needs to become STRONGER and DEEPER. Individually and as a people.

More people gathered.
More deeply connected.
More firmly rooted in Christ.

The storm is not a reason to shrink the tent.
And making room is not a reason to pull up the stakes.

GATHER WIDELY.
ANCHOR DEEPLY.

WIDE TENT. STRONG STAKES.

Isaiah 54:2 | Isaiah 33:20 | Isaiah 22:23 | Helaman 5:12

Elder @gerald_causse challenged every disciple, not just apostles, to bear witness of Jesus Christ. So here’s mine. 🤍

I was born and raised Catholic, and for a brief time as a little girl, I loved going to church. I knew Jesus loved me. But as a young adult, I fell away from Him… and things took a dark turn.

Then, I met my husband in a bar after he had walked away from his faith and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We fell deeply in love and started building a family and a life together.

But darkness still plagued me. Over the years I felt promptings to go to church (that I ignored), and I watched the light of my in-laws as they lived the gospel with joy. Then I hit my own rock bottom with alcohol… and finally decided it was time to reach out to the Savior.

My life has been incredibly blessed by that choice of faith! “My soul hath been redeemed from the gall of bitterness and bonds of iniquity. I was in the darkest abyss; but now I behold the marvelous light of God. My soul was racked with eternal torment; but I am snatched, and my soul is pained no more.” -Mosiah 27:29

That’s why I’m so vocal about sharing more Jesus online and preaching His gospel of joy.

That’s why I’m taking up the testimony challenge like @shimabaughman ~ Will you share yours? by @arantza_condie

Elder Edward Dube’s words really stuck with me this General Conference. I struggle too often with being so hard on myself… It’s important to remember that Christ meets me where I am. I don’t need to be perfect right now. Jesus just needs me to do the best I can. His Atoning Sacrifice is for EVERYONE. 🤍 by @arantza_condie

Ep 107: When Life Doesn’t Go According to Plan

Sometimes God doesn’t change your circumstances. He changes the way you see them.

Arantza Condie grew up Catholic in Connecticut, and although faith wasn’t a major part of her family’s daily life, she remembers knowing from a young age that God saw her and loved her.

Then life became difficult. The future she had imagined didn’t unfold the way she expected, and it deeply affected her sense of worth.

Years later, after becoming a mother, something inside her began telling her that she needed God again.

During the darkness of COVID, she finally reached a point where she knew she couldn’t do it alone. She began taking the missionary discussions and learning about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Then one day, her young son looked at her through the rearview mirror and said:

“Mommy, I want to be with you forever.”

Those words opened the door to questions about eternal families, the premortal existence, and doctrines that didn’t just make sense to her—they felt like home.

Arantza knew she was ready to be baptized, even though her husband wasn’t a believer. Today, they continue to navigate an interfaith marriage with communication, love, and a shared commitment to raising their children.

Her reminder is powerful: if we don’t intentionally look for God’s hand in our lives, the struggles can become so loud that they swallow up the blessings.

Sometimes recognizing God isn’t about finding something extraordinary.

It’s about remembering to look.

Follow Arantza’s in her journey on Instagram @arantza_condie.

Take a moment today to look for God’s hand, and tell me about it.

Arantza’s episode is out now!
In this clip, she’s talking about how she finally knew she was ready to join the church of Jesus Christ Saints.
She had spent many years in darkness and loathing, and in the space of, “divine discontent”.
The Lord began to soften her heart, and she knew it was time when one day her little boy told her he wanted to be with her forever.
The spirit testified to her of the truthfulness of that statement and it shot truth into her heart.
She knew it was finally time to be baptized.
comment TRUTH and I’ll send you the link.
