POSTS STORIES REELS

About me: for years working downtown my office overlooked the Herberger and while “working for Lord Business” it felt like I’d never be able to work on my “dancer dream”. I’d admire in envy performers posing with the statues outside.
🩰🧑‍🩰👯
Last night, I performed there in the @mvdfaz for the 2nd time- but this year I kinda freaked myself out a bit cause I was so calm (for me). Is that how confidence feels like?
😍😛
It made me proud that I’m finally “seeing myself” and allowing the chance to be vulnerable, curious, grow, shrink without guilt, and celebrate that I’m almost 50, and I still got some moves!

While I LOVE pictures, I’m still learning to be ok posting them of just myself. It’s kinda vein- but I feel like it’s a form of story telling! So this one is ALL me- take it or leave it! by @arayofsunshine77

October was amazing! by @arayofsunshine77

My little Firecracker was celebrated at her HS Senior night! WTF?! 4yrs of HS cheer, and 10 of competitive club? How time flies!

I had to repost this 3 times (I’m a tech 🦖), so I’ll make it shirt & sweet: I’m SO proud of my mini me, the ULTIMATE cheerleader.

She’s MY CL, her schools & friends CL, and even though key leaders refuse to recognize how freaking amazing she is/try to hold her down (you may know we’ve been fighting this for past 2years), she’s the girl that shows up at 530AM practice and sometimes isn’t home till 10pm at night!
She’s survived broken parts/many injuries and still shows up to cheer and rumble!
She been dropped on her head endless times, but is the toughest flyer+ I know.
Maybe this is the Dance mom in me- but some could take a lesson from her jump skills… just saying!!
(Oh my gosh this post has gone a WAY different route than the previous emotional ones)!

Liv is awesome- and she won’t let me scream “That’s my baby” in public, but I am so proud she is my daughter!
When the band played Firework I started to lose it, choking back tears (and now too)! I can’t believe this was the last time I’ll watch her on the sidelines!🥺 by @arayofsunshine77

☀️🔆 “I Rise Up, despite of the pain. I rise up” 🎵🎶

These are some magical moments from my yogi sister @tlctc and I’s “Rise & Reset Rooftop Experience” at @risefitfest
🔆 We invited the dance fitness community who were rising to the occasion of raising funds & awareness to ALL bodies, ALL abilities, with an open heart; to pour into themselves, with a heart opening mini stretch & breath work, then into a beautiful full sound bath!
🔆🔆🔆
This class was long awaited. It was the best gift I could offer the community. It’s a lot of who I’ve become and I was so grateful I was offered the space to share that, hoping it would resonate with others!
💕🫶🧘‍♀️
Deep gratitude & Reflection: Ironically years ago, the song “rise up” was played as a cooldown in a dance fitness class, and I just broke down. Even though I was surrounded by amazing people & doing what I love (dance), I needed a way to ground ☯️. My mind and my body were tired . But a lot of us thrive on adrenaline and push through the pain, if that’s mental or physical.
🔆 Leading life through the lens of love & giving can absolutely fill your cup, to the point where it’s easier to cheer on others, but not take time to refill your “tank” energy: YOUR heart, body and soul!
That’s why I feel this session was so beautiful. I saw others that have supported me and their community for years, take time out of this amazing weekend to pour into themselves! By resting and receiving, they were able to rise and shine even brighter!
I can’t explain the joy it brought me. I felt this energetic high! 🫶
Later some have shared what emotions & feelings it brought them: thank you! To be deep AF- if this experience made an impact and helped shift something, then my purpose is served.
🫶🕉️🙏☮️🔆🪬
Continue to pour into what helps you RISE UP.

Day 3- bringing it home at @risefitfest

After the sunrise session, I was grounded AF!!
Even after 3 days of moving our bodies more ways than we knew was possible- it was a great way to close out this years RiseFit Fest!
@mixxedfit leaders flew in from across the country to collaborate & share their favorite routines!
🔆. New friends and old, songs that brought back memories, new moves & teachers that only come out to lead for special occasions like this! 👏

Although I paid for it later, TC and I decided to join in after our session BAREFOOTED to dance our 🍑 off! by @arayofsunshine77

Part 2 of @risefitfest by @jefflimleads at @ability360 🔆🫶🌟🪑🦽💪

We came together to RISE UP for each other- with no judgement on abilities levels.

To me, this class is the one class that really celebrates the purpose- ALL BODIES, ALL Abilities!

@chaironefitness class with the actual creator!! by @arayofsunshine77

@risefitfest Recap Part 1. ☀️ Every year the dance fitness community comes together and for 3 days we RISE UP!
Rise up for community,
Rise up for others who may need extra help,
Rise up for our own wellness and joy!
And together, we did just that! 🫰

This year I personally approached the event with a different lense. Less about the razzledazzle, but more about “celebration” of being ok with wherever we’re at in our journey. When we move together at events like this- there’s ALOT that’s unseen, and remembering how good it feels to come together, no matter what “season” each person is at, is motivating!
🔆
I found joy stepping back (not being in any “groups”, and watching others lead, inspire, and expand. Lately in the Dance Fit world-there’s been alot of negativity. It’s been very discouraging. But like ☯️, with darkness there’s light, and this past weekend was like a ray of sunshine that made my heart glow! 🌟🔆☀️⛅️🌞

This is part 1 of probably 3: The main group classes besides ChairOne all abilities (post 2) and not the Mixxedfit mashup last day.
The 3+ will be “my offering” aka Rise & Reset (Tc & I’s sunrise rooftop sound healing experience).

So much goodness.
Let’s all remember to keep rising up for each other and to keep #spreadlove

Thank you @jefflimleads for following your heart and leading this community 🔆🫶💃💪💕 by @arayofsunshine77

Liv’s Senior night is here- YEARS of cheer photos!!
#thatsMYbaby by @arayofsunshine77

I’m posting this as more of a dear diary//accountability thing for myself. I’m not looking for a “good job.”

In the past year, I’ve been working on my “inside” a.k.a. mental health and physical wellness, and looking back at pictures, I now can see some change in the outside!

One of the biggest challenges for me has been getting control of my eating habits. Never say never but I don’t think I’ll be the girl that just does everything by the books. It’s just not who I am and I feel like every everybody should live in moderation.

If you don’t know of my Taco Bell, addiction: I used to tease it was my savior. It’s been with me through years of good times & bad times, rewarding me for good jobs done and made me feel better on the days where I was blue.. not the greatest addiction, could be worse!
🌮
This past weekend, I fell off the wagon! 🤪
I was very active and at that level, I didn’t resist the natural programming in my head that knew I could push through & “fuel my body” with Taco Bell. Not going to lie, it worked! But now I can’t stop thinking about 🌮🛎️

The reason I am posting this, is I’m sure there’s other people out there that are trying to control their weight and break bad habits (probably for the past 20+ years once I slip I haven’t been able to get back on track).
So, it might not be perfect and it might be messy, but I’m not gonna let one weekend ODing on TB ruined my motivation and progress!

We all deserve to reward ourselves, and I don’t think we shouldn’t have to feel shame about treating ourselves to our favorites. Everything in moderation!

if you have tips of the trade, I will happily take them.
I’m at a weight and medical stats where I am happy and now I have to shift too maintaining and I’m very nervous. I’ve said this before, but I also need to focus on strength training, which I also have procrastinated to a whole another level, but it’s time shift again!! by @arayofsunshine77

After leading a special sound bath today, that was about leading life with an open heart…
my friend @kellyrene05 gave me one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve ever received.
We’re crazy cat ladies, but both of our very senior orange fur babies passed away. 😿 It hit. It hit bad.

What I didn’t know is Kelly had a customer hoodie made of my Meatball! 😻 That way I forever get to have a part of him close to my heart!
Can you think of a more special gift- NO!?!?

Life has moments of heaviness, and sometimes all it takes is someone that really gets you to show up for you.
🫶
Today was about giving to others and “Together we Rise”… my heart is SO full and SO grateful that it gave us a reason to connect in person (vs our weekly sharing of funny cat videos), and I got to “receive”!

Thanks girl!!

Maybe this is a sign we should start a
“Show me your 😽” post!?!
Hahaha… that sounds bad- I mean post a pic of your fur baby! Spread the love! I’ll start…. by @arayofsunshine77
