🩻🦴💀 do you like walls of text? here’s a casting + crew call for the reconstructed world, an interactive livestream film and school project at city college for my bio-anthropology honors contract 🦴 brought 2 u by @cabletwo

we already have an awesome lil team going but thought i’d put this out there for anyone who wants to get involved! looking for two actors and collaborators in camera, sound, props, lighting, writing, livestream tech, or anything else you’d like to contribute.

unpaid, with credit + meal + snax. this is an inherently collaborative project, with room to bring your ideas and help shape the film.

details in the photos. dm me if you’re interested or email hdiamond@student.sdccd.edu !! hot pink casting and crew call poster for “the reconstructed world: a media landscape film,” presented by san diego city college. a purple anatomical figure runs across a collage of x-ray images, with glowing internal structures visible. a tilted white stamp reads “cast / crew call.” by @arbyparty

one of my earliest tv memories was watching daft punk, gorillaz, and mark osbourne videos in the glow of my giant CRT late at night as a weird kid who could never sleep. i’m lucky enough to have stuck around long enough for it to have given me all my friends and the life i have now. thanks to everyone in the past and present for making 25 years of Adult Swim

and thanks to friends who put up with a whole decade of me being a socially anxious weirdo until i became normal 🙏💗 by @arbyparty

🚗 🏔️ Next Tuesday, August 25 at 7:00PM, join us for DGC Cinema Associate Holly's @arbyparty Staff Pick, END OF HISTORY. Jacob Gregor's absorbing, satirical road film steers into the heart of the terminally online and alienated, and takes you where the liminal space of podcasts and their consequences meets the edge of the world. 🎟️ Get tickets now at the 🔗🔝 or in person at our box office.

Influenced and accompanied by manosphere mantras and motivational content, a young man sets out on a road trip through the North American continent, from his home in the Midwest all the way to Alaska, on a quest for self-optimization, in Jacob Gregor’s END OF HISTORY, a quiet yet fierce satire that is frequently funny, often absurd and always lonely. The voices of content creators preaching pop stoicism and the grievances of Canadian conservative talk radio haunt the stunning natural vistas and endless suburban sprawl of his northward journey, with nothing to be found and nothing to feel alongside the frozen lakes, at the feet of snow-covered mountains, in strip mall parking lots, gas stations and motel honeymoon suites.
