✨HELP US BUILD SPRITES! ✨ This November, we’re taking over Scarborough Library with four FREE creative workshops for children and families. Led by professional artists Nathan Wackett and Terenia Edwards, you’ll help create props, pieces of set and magical Sprites-inspired crafts and some of your creations could even become part of the finished show this Christmas. 🌿🧚 📍 Scarborough Library 📅 Saturdays 7, 14, 21 & 28 November ⏰ 10:30am–12:30pm 🎨 Everyone welcome, all ages from 4+ 🎟️ Completely FREE 🙌 No booking needed, just drop in and stay as long as you like! She’s had a rubbish day at school and just wants to be left alone. She has no idea that she’s about to encounter the sprites… Follow Lina into the enchanting world of the sprites: sensory and full of surprises. “We loved it, the kids loved it, the parents loved it” What amazing feedback from a teacher involved in our New Shores project! We have now finished the second year of our schools project, and what a brilliant year it has been! We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us bring Adventures in Learning to Scarborough schools this year. Thank you to our partners @kit__theatre and @englishheritage, to our funders @paulhamlynfoundation and @aceagrams , to all the incredible artists who worked with us, and finally to the teachers and school staff. Without your hard work and support, this project would not have been possible. We’re taking some time now to pause, celebrate what we’ve achieved and reflect on everything we’ve learnt by working together. Mud, imagination, and a little bit of magic! Thanks to funding from York City Council, we recently delivered a fantastic series of creative workshops for the pupils of Woodland Academy. The adventure started at Stepney Hill Farm, where pupils explored the natural world, experienced new smells and tastes, and gathered materials. Under the expert guidance of @saranowellart , they used wattle and daub to craft their very own Hobgoblin heads! Back in the classroom, the creativity kept flowing. The pupils: 🪺 Built cozy nests 🦅 Sculpted original clay characters 📝 Wrote unique storylines 🎬 Produced their own incredible stop-motion films using their handmade scenes and characters! Everyone had a brilliant time bringing their ideas to life.
