spent the weekend at @lostfoxinn and got to photograph some of my favorite moments around the property. co-designing something of this scale together with my mom has been a wildly special experience. we have touched every single inch of thousands of square feet. we pulled inspiration from the inns of the english countryside, the best of old new york city, and our shared & abiding love for a very, very dimly lit bar. being there now, getting to be a fly on the wall with the doors open, watching as it comes to life - as guests drive into the parking lot, unload suitcases, pull up a stool at the bar, snap pictures of the parts they love - is really a surreal and wonderful thing. if you get the chance to come see us in litchfield, i hope you do! i’m biased i guess, but i think it’s the best bar in the world. and that’s not even to mention the stone fireplaces and soaking tubs in the rooms. by @ardenwray

a recent opportunity called for the curation of a portfolio combining my creative work across mediums. i work in a mix of these worlds daily - and in my mind it’s always been all connected - but it ended up being a very meaningful exercise to put all the pieces together in this way and look at how my own distinct point of view & sense of beauty translates across photography, portraiture, and interior design. there are obvious thru lines - big blues, patina & faded grandeur, layered textures, a sense of expansiveness, more i’m sure. but ultimately, everything i have made my whole life has been about trying to capture & convey a particular feeling. it’s all storytelling. it’s all ways of seeing. it’s all about exploration, curiosity, noticing beauty. and i’m deeply grateful to get to spend my life doing it in these different ways. by @ardenwray
