Another trip around the sun 💫☀️

The day I was born was also the day my parents became parents. I'll always be grateful for the love, care and everything they've done to shape me into who I am today 🤍.

Semoga selalu sehat, dikelilingi orang-orang yang tulus, punya cukup waktu untuk hal-hal yang kusuka, dan selalu menemukan alasan kecil untuk bahagia.

Kembar Mayang & Pisang Sanggan | Kenangan bersama Bapak 🤍

Kembar Mayang yang digunakan dalam "upacara panggih" pernikahan Adat Jawa, simbol doa dan harapan bagi kedua pengantin dalam memulai kehidupan baru.

Dulu, sejak kecil aku sering diajak Bapak membuat Kembar Mayang. Mulai dari membuat keris-kerisan yang harus berjumlah tujuh, ornamen burung, walang, karang melok, sampai memasang melati.

Kalau acaranya pagi dan kebetulan hari libur, suka diajak Bapak untuk mengantar kembar mayang. Kita selalu berangkat setelah sholat shubug, kemudian kami akan menunggu sampai acara selesai, memastikan bokor kuningan yang dibawa tidak hilang atau terbawa orang, karena bokor kuningan itu harus beli di Yogya atau Solo.

Dulu rasanya hanya membantu Bapak bekerja. Sekarang tanpa disadari Bapak sedang mewariskan keterampilan, kecintaan pada tradisi dan cerita yang akan selalu hidup dalam ingatanku.

Art & Design, Through The Years
A little piece of my personal journey with Jenggala.

Less than a week ago, Jenggala celebrated its Golden Anniversary 50 years. I never imagined I would be here again, becoming part of this journey.

I joined Jenggala in 2008 as a Junior Designer in the newly formed Art & Design Department. Through the years, I met incredible people who shaped the way I design, think, and learn.

My journey wasn't always linear. I left in 2011, came back, left again in 2018 and never thought I would return to Bali. Yet somehow, I was asked to come back.

And here I am again.

From Junior Designer to Senior, I still feel I have so much to learn. Perhaps that's the beauty of the journey, people come and go, and every chapter brings something new.

Thank you Jenggala and everyone who has been part of my journey, to all art and design, to all my mentor and forever debate partner (You know who you are 🤍)

Happy 50th Anniversary @jenggala_official, Ibu Ade, Pak Avi & Naomi.

Spent the Saturday afternoon doing something I rarely do, my first time painting with Gouache 😄.

A few hours of observing, mixing colours, slowing down, and paying attention to the little details of the objects.

Seru loh @mariathezar 🥰, please bikin lagi ya 😘.
Thank you for the sessions 😘, ternyata bisa juga painting pakai Gouache 💕sesekali ganti material ga pegang tanah.

A little throwback on the development of the Ingka Tea Set for @jenggala_official

Hours of sketching, carving, refining, and countless small decisions behind the scenes.

A special appreciation to Pak Nyoman Alit @astawainyomanalit Jenggala’s master model maker, whose skill and craftsmanship helped transform drawings into forms. Many of these pieces would not have come to life without his hands and expertise.

What looks effortless in the final piece is often the result of patience, collaboration, and care.

Because design is not only about form and function,it is also about "rasa" by @ardinipuri
