Bivacco Hut to Hut 🏴 | ±282 KM | 22–25 Days — Itinerary & Plan Info 👇

A self-made long-distance alpine route, fully designed and mapped by myself. This is not an existing official trail, but a custom-built bivacco-to-bivacco concept that strategically connects remote shelters across the Aosta Alps 😍

The focus is on flow, solitude, elevation gain, and authentic alpine movement—designed to be repeatable, adaptable, and scalable.
The route links high passes, ridgelines, and isolated terrain, with built-in backup options via villages. Bivacco huts & Refuge form the backbone of the journey🧡

Along the hike through charming villages, with options to stay in cozy hotels or camp, all naturally connected to the route
Valley stops for rest days, food resupply, and logistical resets
This structure allows seamless transitions between remote mountain nights and moments of comfort, while maintaining rhythm and progression.

Expect traditional Italian mountain cuisine, espresso stops in small villages, simple refuge meals, and evenings shaped by shared trail stories. The terrain is physically demanding—especially at altitude—but the return is high: expansive alpine views, mental clarity, and strong narrative depth.

22–25 day framework 👇
A modular long-distance itinerary with built-in flexibility for weather, acclimatization, and creative output.

In 2027, I’ll be hiking this self-made bivacco hut-to-hut trail. A long-term alpine goal, approached with focused preparation, structure, and intent.
The dream is set, the direction is clear, and the foundation is being built now 💚

Deciding to take on the hardest hike in Europe and one
of the hardest in the world, alone, was definitely one of the
wilder choices I've made!
But although I went alone, I met single/group hikers along the trail, and it wasn't busy at all, which I hoped for.
Talked with small groups and single hikers, and it turned out telling awesome stories.

We shared a lot of laughs, a lot of beauty, and a lot of struggle (mentally and physically).

There were gorgeous mornings, so many sunny days, rainy and windy storm days, endless mountains, deadly ridge lines, lots of scrambling sections, and huge climbing up and down on every stages

No doubt, it is definitely one of my favourite trail in my life for now! Loved it, and this won't be the only Europe's Grande Randonnée trails

I'm looking forward to some others Europe's Grande Randonnée trails next year! 🏕

What for GR trails would you recommend!
Let me know !🙏

A LIFETIME WITHOUT KNOWING THE TRUTH
“What truly caused my hernia? A question that still remains a mystery.”

The truth, I lived without knowing what was really happening inside my body. I pushed through the pain, exhausted, ignoring the signals, and telling myself it would get better.

But last year, in just one moment, everything changed. A second of unbearable pain, followed by endless days of fatigue and struggle. My body was screaming for help, but I didn’t yet understand how serious it was.

A few months later, I finally walked into a hospital. That step changed my life. The doctors took me seriously, cared for me, and soon after, I had my very first surgery.

Now, 14 weeks into recovery, I can finally say it: I feel alive again. Grateful. Blessed. My body is healing faster than I ever imagined. I’ve already been able to go on small adventures again something I once thought would take much longer.

The healing process hasn’t only been physical; it’s been a lesson in patience, resilience, and gratitude. Life has a way of reminding us how fragile we are, but also how strong we can be.

Some told me it was just bad luck. Others said I needed to change my lifestyle. Maybe it’s both. Either way, I know this: I’ve been hit hard, but I choose to enjoy life even harder.

This is not just recovery, this is a second chance a lesson and getting stronger! 🫶

🌲 I’m finally looking forward to some awesome adventures again! After months of recovery, it feels incredible to get back out there.
Are you with me?! ✨📸

Bivacco Claudio Brédy 🏔️

A remote, wild, and unforgettable place to spend the night.

Day 1 of testing the Bivacco Trail started in La Salle, Italy. From there, we made our way high up into the Italian Alps, climbing deeper into the mountains with every step.

📍 La Salle → Bivacco Claudio Brédy
🥾 Distance: 15.47 km
⛰️ Elevation gain: 1,727 m
⏱️ Hiking time: 4h 32min
🏔️ Arrival time: 13:00 am

As the evening fell, we quickly realised we wouldn’t be alone. The bivacco has just 6 beds, and it was completely full. First come, first served!

Sleeping there turned out to be an adventure of its own. 😅 I barely slept, struggling to get comfortable, and every little rustle of a sleeping bag seemed loud enough to wake everyone up.

Not exactly the best night’s sleep, but it is definitely part of the experience. This is mountain life: raw, unpredictable, and full of little challenges.

And this was only day one.
The adventure had just begun. 🏔️🥾 taken in Valle d'Aosta by @ardventure_

What I packed for the self-made Bivacco Trail, starting tomorrow! 🏔️

One week. 80 km along a section of my own 282 km route through the high Alpine mountains.

Time to explore the mountains, test the route, stay in bivouac huts and see how everything works in practice.

The adventure begins! 🥾 by @ardventure_

WHAT AN ADVENTURE YEAR 2025
An adventure where a lot has happened🫎
While writing this, I carry the impact or alternating periods, while also holding space for gratitude.

This year was tough. Sometimes raw, sometimes relentless. Still, the blessings ultimately outweighed the low points. A herniated disc surgery had a profound impact on my body, my rhythm, and my daily life. It forced me to slow down, recalibrate, and rebuild strength from the ground up.

Along the way, new and solid connections were formed. I met deeply valuable people and — against the odds — still made it to Sweden. Time outdoors, silence, and space. Met the most lovely people ❤️
Exactly what was needed to regain perspective and energy.

Thank you to everyone who showed up this year. Your support, in any form, truly made the difference when it mattered most.

Here we come 2026
let’s go.🗻🥾 by @ardventure_

Late autumn by the sea. Less noise, more space.

And honestly... The Rab Buckstone Hoody isn’t a seasonal piece. It’s a core layer in an outdoor system.

A lightweight fleece with a pluffy feel, built for crisp autumn days and cold mornings. Warm where needed, breathable in motion, and comfortable during long hours outside or cozy by the fireplace 🔥

Strong as a standalone in late autumn, reliable as a midlayer heading into winter ❄️

Being outdoors doesn’t stop with the seasons.
Moving forward with @rab.equipment designed for the outdoors, tested in transitional weather, and ready for what’s next.🗻

A snowy tiny mountain hut💙

This mountain has become such a symbol for me. The mountains I see from this little hut, changing with the light, remind me every day of where I truly belong. 🏔 by @ardventure_
