Honestly, what better way for me to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with this little reveal? 🪻

I’m incredibly excited about sharing Kasra and Zay’s story with you all this spring, and getting to explore one of my absolute favourite holidays. I hope you’re excited about it too! 🌷

A year ago, Zay decided she’d had enough. Enough of feeling stuck in her life, enough repeating her mistakes. Which means enough of the on-again-off-again dance with her longtime-sweetheart Kasra. They’re done, and she’s moving on, for good this time. Until an unexpected encounter throws Kasra right back into her life. Again.

Kasra’s still not sure how to pick up the pieces without the woman he thought he’d be spending the rest of his life with. In the face of some terrible family news, and with Nowruz right around the corner, he throws himself into helping his parents at their struggling flower shop, hoping it will take his mind off things. Which becomes nearly impossible when fate puts Zay right back on his path.

It’s okay, they tell themselves. They’re adults. They can stay just friends through the end of Nowruz. But in the high-stress environment surrounding the upcoming new year, old arguments and old feelings rise to the surface. With the new year fast approaching Kasra and Zay must finally grow up and decide: is what they have over once and for all, or is it happily ever after?

This is truly the book of my heart, and has been a labour of love, one I am so excited to share with you all this fall (because you know my first baby had to be a Libra like me) 💜

Sharzad Daryai looks like she’s got it all, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. She’s 32 years old, her dream job turning stale, and she’s desperate for a change. And then she finds out her brother is getting married. Her younger brother.

Sharzad’s never been particularly lucky in love, but she doesn’t want to face another round of pitying aunties and uncles asking when it’s going to be her turn. When her siblings insist she needs to bring a date to the wedding, or else, she needs a solution. And fast.

Sam Kazemi is a golden boy whose shine is tarnished. Sure, he’s got the fancy degree from an American school, but his girlfriend just dumped him and his dream project is in trouble. With a head for numbers, Sam has no flair for the creative, and no desire to admit he’s bitten off more than he can chew.

After a pair of heated chance encounters, Sharzad and Sam strike a bargain: She’ll help him find a creative solution to his business woes if he agrees to pose as her boyfriend at all wedding-related events.

The lines between work and play, real and fake begin to blur, but romantically-reluctant Sharzad and overly-confident Sam maintain that after the wedding, they’ll go their separate ways. After the wedding, things will go back to normal, with no feelings in the way. Right?
