Motherhood lately… 🥹🤎

Watching my husband become a girl dad has been so special. She looks at him like he hung the moon, and I love watching their bond grow. 😭

Meanwhile, my first baby is growing up way too fast—he started tying his own tie for school this week! 🥺 And our baby girl is already 3 months old and holding her own bottle. Like ma’am, I just had you! 😂

Postpartum and Sjögren’s have been challenging. Between inflammation, hair loss, breakouts, exhaustion, and the whole family getting sick, I’m definitely taking things day by day and giving myself grace.

But this time last year, I was grieving our loss and unknowingly waiting for our rainbow baby. 🌈🤎

Now she’s here—happy, healthy, and so loved. Watching her brothers adore her and her daddy melt over his little girl has been the sweetest gift.

Even on the hard days, I look at her and think: you were worth every bit of it. 🤎

Moving countries while postpartum means dinner needs to be GOOD… but it also needs to be EASY. 😂🍝

This mama is TIRED. I’m still postpartum, we just moved to another country, and somehow my husband and two other kids still expect to be fed every night. 😂 So when I don’t have the energy to make everything from scratch, pasta is ALWAYS my go-to.

Thank goodness for the commissary because this was easy, affordable, hearty, and everybody ate it. 🙌🏾 And a jar of Bertolli absolutely saved dinner tonight.

🍝 Easy Pesto Bolognese

Brown your ground beef (or minced meat of choice), stir in a spoonful of pesto, then add a jar of your favorite Bertolli red sauce — we used Bolognese. Stir in freshly grated Parmesan, toss with your pasta, then finish with more Parmesan (obviously 😂) and parsley.

That’s it. No homemade sauce. No standing over the stove all evening. Just a tired mama feeding her family and calling it a win. 🤎

Save this one for the nights when you have about 20% left in the tank but 4 people still need dinner. 😂🍝

Life lately: moving countries, settling into our new home, and learning to give myself a whole lot of grace. 🏡 🇬🇧 🤎

One of the ugh of military life is finally getting your things back only to find some of them ( or in our case a lot of them) broken. 😞 I’m trying to remind myself that they are just things. We made it here, we have each other, and our family is together- and that’s what really matters.

.
This is also my first move since my autoimmune diagnosis and I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t been frustrating seeing how much my body has changed. I’m used to unpacking, organizing, decorating, and getting everything DONE… and this time, my body is reminding me that I can’t always move at the pace my body wants to.

But maybe there’s no better place to be humbled and forced to slow down than our little english cottage. 🥹 I said I wanted to get a slower life right? Now i get to take my time, box by box, and room by room, turning this place into our home.

Peep our little girl, who is somehow THREE MONTHS OLD already. 😩😭🎀. Im unwell.

We’ve been busy. 📦

We officially said goodbye to our German home. This place was such an important chapter in our story. A place of healing, growing, and truly being at peace.

I won’t even go into how unwell I am at the fact our baby girl is 2 months old and the boys are getting tablets preparing for their first years in the UK school system.

Many new adventures and posts coming your way soon as we say Auf wiedersehen to Germany and Hello to England.
