One Happy Camper 🫶

This past week was truly the Best! Week! Ever! @experiencecamps Maine girls camp! I was honored to be a camp counselor alongside three amazing women and to some of the bravest girls I’ve ever met. Grief is complicated, rocky, and has been incredibly isolating in my experience. However, my time at SomEx showed me the just how gracious the other side can be. Thanks to a whirlwind of incredible volunteers including therapists, nurses, and my fellow counselors, I’ve felt the most seen and heard than I have in a long time. Most importantly our campers got to have a week to be around other kids and adults who just get it. S’mores were devoured, tears were shed, but we all laughed more than anything. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. Thank you @experiencecamps for everything! I can’t wait till next summer in Maine 🦞🛶⛺️ by @arianapleasure

My first fathers day with no earthly reason to celebrate. I spent the day thinking about how my dad would have wanted today to look like, leading me to a crab boil and a Baskin Robbins towards nightfall. I’ll be honest it all stung. The commercials, seeing dads open up their gifts with their family, and the waiter inadvertently asking me “well where’s dad today?”. It still stings to look at pictures of him, especially ones from recent years for some reason.

My dad was always relaxed when it came to Father’s Day so we usually did things simply, but always together. What I would give to have another one of those simple days. Happy heavenly Father’s Day to mine. by @arianapleasure

Finally graduated from the Moo Moo 🤘🏾school!!! The first part was pretty tough and then Covid hit for the end but oh that sweet sweet middle part!!! Happy it happened and happier for new horizons 🧡 taken in The University of Texas at Austin by @arianapleasure
