i've learned the most freeing thing i can do is to stop fighting my body

to soften into it.
to thank it.
to let it exist without constantly asking it to be smaller, prettier, or "more perfect"

my body was never something i needed to earn the right to love

it's been my home all along :)

Two years ago today, I moved to Vancouver Island!!!

Five years ago, I was speaking to my counsellor during one of the lowest points of my life. She asked me to close my eyes and to envision my dream life.

I pictured two things: traveling the world and living on Vancouver Island.

Both felt completely impossible. At the time, I had never ever left Canada and moving here felt soooo out of reach.

Looking back, it’s crazy to believe that the life I was imagining that day is the life I’m living now. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to travel to 16 beautiful countries and I somehow live here now. It took so much healing and hard work to get me here. Dreams truly do come true!!!

Every ocean sunset, every mountain view, every bottle of Lucky I've served lol, every new friendship, has been a reminder that life can become way bigger and more beautiful than you can ever even imagine.

I’m endlessly grateful for the version of me who dared to dream about this life, and for everyone who helped me get here 🤍 I love you forever, Vancouver island taken in Vancouver Island by @arianna.parkerr
