New camera who dis?

somewhere along the way of chasing video work I drifted away from photography a bit. that was a sad realization so nothin like a new camera to get that fire going again. feels good to pick it back up. I missed it.

upgrading from a crop sensor body to full frame is insane! learned about features on Lightroom I didn’t even know existed (cried out of frustration lol cause I couldn’t get clear answers from google or ChatGPT) but I think I’m on my way now 😌🤘

Top 10 2025

A tradition I’ve been keeping with myself for the past few years is to pick a ‘word of the year’ at the beginning of the year to set my goals and intentions to. I only reveal the word at the year end wrap up to protect the energy and make sure it’s something I stick to.

2025’s word of the year: Alchemy

In 2025 I learned that growth doesn’t come from forcing positivity, but rather from awareness, honesty and staying true to yourself through uncertainty. Learning detachment, not from situations but from outcomes.

Keeping my self-worth in mind even while my self-confidence was being challenged.

Through it all, there were moments that reminded me why it’s worth showing up for myself: finishing the 52 hiking challenge, signing on as a 2025 content creator with @explorecanada , celebrating my first paid partnerships, seeing long term efforts pay off. Proof that the lessons I was learning were working.

Alchemy became turning fear into self trust, moments of abandonment into deeper self connection. When the trials came up I didn’t abandon myself, that alone changed everything.

Stepping into 2026 I’m carrying everything this year taught me forward. Building intentionally.

My word of 2026? Find out this time next year

If you made it this far I love you and you’re comin with me into 2026 😌
