this year i wanted to do a dance class for my birthday and it was so fun!!!! a bunch of my friends have been wanting to try, and it has brought me so much joy since i started dancing again this past year. mahalo, @talia_mossman for choreographing and teaching us!!!! you are the best 💕

idk why instagram wouldn’t let me crop this correctly, but i was so grateful that @kyleeunscripted and @richardvchan met up with me for lunch when i landed!! we met at a cooking class in rome. they are studying abroad in london, and we decided to meet up when i was in town for the night.
hopefully i’ll see them in honolulu soon 💕

i took the “global journey” bus trip from amsterdam to tomorrowland, so i spent one night before the bus in amsterdam with some hawai’i friends, followed by four solo days after i got back. monday and tuesday were recovery days, wednesday was exploring the home of international law as my lawyer nerd self, and thursday i went on a food tour.

my lawyer nerd heart was beaming. this was the coolest experience i had in the netherlands.

there was a demonstration of filipino people who wanted duterte freed. see next photo for details.

i wrote a comparative law paper about contrasting drug policies around the world when i was in law school. portugal had the most liberal drug policies. the philippines had the harshest.

duterte allows his citizens to kill one another if they are addicted to drugs, a clear violation of international law.

he was arrested in 2025 and awaits his trial.

@tomorrowland changed me.
electronic music has healed parts of me i never knew existed.

jews, iranians, germans, and people from around the world danced together with love. i felt so much peace. we are united by love of music. the festival is the mecca of all ravers around the world and no other festival will ever come close to its greatness.
