Rightly described by the city of Valencia as “the marathon paradise.” The comparisons to Boston are real - Valencia truly turns the entire city into a race venue.

The race plan was straightforward: settle into ~1:45 through halfway and aim for a controlled negative split (1:43/1:44). I went through the half in 1:46 feeling composed, but the second half was a different race. We started at 18°C at 9 AM, and by 11 AM it was 23–24°C with the sun fully out, making sustaining the target pace over the last 10–15 km noticeably harder.

The goal for the last 10K was to not slow down too much and manage the PR - the last 30 minutes crowd support and the iconic blue carpet finish helped seal the 1-minute PR, which feels amazing - especially on a day where execution required constant adjustment.

With major races trending warmer in recent years, refining heat-adapted pacing strategies is becoming essential. Berlin earlier this year had similar conditions, so this feels like the new baseline for fall racing.

Another solid training block with @nivi.fitrabbits, and more learning to sharpen the next cycle.

Copenhagen Half. The most satisfying negative splits.

Plan: Start around 4:45/km, run by feel, but keep it sub-4:50 at any cost. Gels at 0, 7 and 14K.

Copenhagen delivered colourful houses, orchestra symphony, DJs and lights along the way, and a beautiful flat course. Windy yes, but I honestly had started with worse expectations.

Around 14K, HR was sitting in the mid-160s. After the gel, it further settled a few beats and suddenly 4:35/km felt like cruise control. Sub-100 went from distant hope to maybe.

Last 6K: pure racing. Needed a 4:15/km for the final 1.1K. Ran 4:14.

~40 sec slower than my February NDM PB, but with less mileage and more mobility + strength, I’ll prefer this version.

The learning: did I conserve too much for too late?
I’ll always take a fast negative split, but on a flat course, there’s probably a fine line between smart conservation and leaving too much on the table.

What an awesome Sunday morning, hunting treasures (QR Codes) with @arijitraja (Team @runcred), at the @capitaltrails.in Race Series - Lalkot!

Unexpectedly, we managed to finish first and then held onto that position through he age and gender normalization.

It was humid as hell but insanely fun!

Enriching #scubadiving experience last month in south Tenerife. The highlight was around El Condesito, a cement ship that sank in 1973.

It's been a great journey under water since getting the open water scuba diving certification in 2008. Not hurrying up for the advanced certification, in retrospect, was a good choice. I now have memories and experience with multiple seas, countries, buddies.

Think I'm ready for the advanced certification in 2025🤞 to be able to go to deeper, crazier waters 🤿

Stoked with the PR ⏱️ yesterday at the @delhihalfmarathon - about a minute shaved off from the @onerace_supersikhrun in Feb earlier this year.
First KM was slow as expected weaving through the crowd but soon found my rhythm around the 3rd KM and steadily cruised till the 19th before shifting gears. Consistent sleep leading up to the day definitely paid off!
Flute playing runner, you're amazing and I prefer you to your pineapple runner 😄
Congrats to everyone who showed up at the start line.
Hoping there will be a day when weather, pollution will magically change and we'll have a late start and we'll be able to enjoy ☀️ the route!
