A couple days late because we were traveling for the concert, but happy 2nd anniversary to Metaphor Refantazio! We cried so much during this concert 😭. We were so lucky to run into many friends we’ve made through this game and make several new ones! This game has such a small, but dedicated community and our hearts were so warmed by the enthusiasm shared by other fans at the show. It reminded us how much this game means to us and may have inspired some additional Metaphor cosplans 👀

We found out that @cosmeetupchicago was hosting this lovely meetup just as we landed in Chicago and since we already had our cosplays for the concert, we decided to swing by to see some friends! Pauldron and fan stayed back home because I am not flying with those 😩.

Happy 2 year Metaphor: Refantazio Anniversary! Another year to one of my favorite games ever :)

I didn't want to take too long writing a full sappy description, so i'll try to keep it brief. This game means a lot to so many people, not just me. I've made many memories and friends sharing their mutual love for this game's themes. Created and recreated cosplays for this game for the love of its characters & through it, connected with some of the kindest corners of the community.

These photos are from a batch from a Metaphor group photoshoot I was a part of at Otakon! It was my first time ever having a photoshoot in all my years of cosplaying & nonetheless, a group one :) Having been a Metaphor group means a lot more to me, especially knowing that all of these talented cosplayers came together over a shared interest. I think it further shows the importance of Metaphor's message: how much fantasy matters in our lives as an outlet of hope (and connection in this case). I'm just really sappy about community guys my bad ^^;;

Go play Metaphor when it comes out on Switch2 guys :D You won't regret it!

I didn’t get to play X-2 until recently as an adult, but growing up I would ask my mom to let me rent this game everytime we went to Blockbuster because it had girls on the cover LOL. I wasn’t allowed to because it was rated T, but I imagine little me would very happy that I finally got to dress up as one of them!

My intro to FF was years later watching Advent Children in multiple parts on Youtube with fansubs and absolutely no context from the original game as god intended.

So excited to debut my first handmade cosplay. FFX2 was my introduction to the series way back in 2003 and Gunner Yuna was an absolute dream cosplay.

Huge thank you to @sailoraria who’s YouTube video tutorials I watched 100 times. I could not have done it without the many Yuna cosplayers sharing their process through blogs and videos. This was so much fun and I can’t wait to wear her again!
