Azerbaijan, March 2026 up in the mountains of Khinaliq. This little town is deep in the Caucasus mountains, only within the last 20 was a road built up here. It claims to be the highest town inhabited year round in Europe.. but there is another nearby about 100 feet higher. September has a way of rearranging the whole property — the flowers are having their final moment, the beets are ready for roasting, and the light through the porch turns the color of good butter. There is a rhythm to this time of year: gather what the garden gives you, put it to good use, and let the season set the pace. A well-tended home is never finished — only ever being cared for.

🌅People ask me all the time how I do both, run a real estate team and live this slower, rooted life out here.

Here’s the truth: they’re not two separate things. They’re the same thing. Steve and I together make all of it work. It absolutely is a partnership rooted in the belief of a lifestyle led with love for our family and friends, and passion for wellness and health.

What brings me peace is the way the leaves move right before a storm rolls in. It’s the garden smelling like high summer in July. It’s the kitchen filling up with whatever Steve’s got simmering and I have baking. It’s sorting eggs into cartons to gift to friends and clients, because a full carton says something a “just checking in” text never could.

I help people find their next home because I believe deeply in the idea of home, the feeling, not just the four walls. And this place, this land, these eggs, this life Steve and I have built here together, it’s my proof that it’s possible to build something that actually feels like peace.❤️

So I’ll ask you what I ask myself: what brings you peace? I’d love to know. 🥚🌿

Have you ever really looked at a beet?

Not the sad, vacuum-sealed kind sitting under fluorescent lights at the grocery store — I mean pulled straight from the dirt, still warm from the sun, in every shade nature decided to give us. Deep garnet. Golden amber. The wild candy-cane stripes of Chioggia that look like something a painter dreamed up.

Beets might be the most underrated thing you can grow. They’re nutrient powerhouses — full of fiber, folate, and natural compounds that support heart health and energy — and they’re genuinely one of the easiest vegetables for a beginner garden. Direct-sow the seeds, thin them out, keep the soil consistently moist, and in about two months you’ll be pulling up something this beautiful. Bonus: the greens are edible too, so nothing goes to waste.
