Lunch outside is usually avoidable by me. Between queuing for the food at the hawker centres and then looking for a place to sit is a tad cumbersome. Today I had the dilemma of what to eat. Ayam Gepuk, Ayam Penyet or something else.

I have been to Zouk at Jiak Kim over the years watching all my favourite DJs and musical acts there, but you always hang at Phuture before the show starts.. Andrew Chow or DJ Wiz would be doing the early set.. From Sade to slow hip-hop jams, then he would then bump up the tempo, slide in a bit of ATCQ or Public Enemy . He would even riled up the bboys to battle with his favourite Dj Shadow's Organ Donor.. And lastly, one night he played Bittersweet Symphony for his closing track🤯 .An artist ,a mentor, a father, a brother and a friend .. Thank you again for everything…#AndIfYouDontKnowNowYouKnow

Story time… I was helping clear the tables at the shop when a West Asian woman came to look for food but was left disappointed when I said no. I suggested to her to head to Geylang Road, as there are more 24hr restaurants there. She said she would wait for her husband to arrive, then would proceed. While she was waiting, I had to ask where she was from. She said she's Palestinian but has moved to Jordan to pursue her studies. Her husband is a police officer who is having a security conference in Singapore. Her husband arrived shortly after. We exchanged pleasantries, talked a bit and they continued off walking.

I don't meet many Palestinians unless I'm traveling . They are normal human beings . Live, love, get married, grow old… Some Singaporeans, on the other hand, don't share the same sentiments as me. All I hope is for them to be more empathetic.🇵🇸🕊️ by @arms1
