Today we open Here Lies Love by @davidbyrneofficial and @officialfatboyslim @CTGLA. This show has been a homecoming for me. 13 years ago I left SoCal to pursue dreams of becoming a designer and it fills me with such pride to come back home with this amazing production. For the last two weeks I’ve watched my stage glitter with the gifts of Filipino excellence and that to me has been the most rewarding experience. And also, it’s been such a privilege to create art with this all Asian design team. What a joy it is to feel your culture celebrated rather than tokenized for once. I can’t wait to share this important story with you all!

Making my off broadway debut with @cost_n_mayor new show: @11tomidnight If you’re in NYC, this is definitely a show not to miss. Austin & Marideth truly captured lightning in a bottle with this one. It’s a heartwarming dance show that’ll leave you feeling inspired, hopeful, and ready to dance the night away. And don’t we all need more joy like that in our lives!

Had the absolute pleasure designing this year’s Nightfall at @filoliestate. I couldn’t have accomplished this without the help of @krsavage12 , who packed all 54,000 square feet of the mansion with terracotta pumpkins, giant rattan spiders, and the most extensive collection of creepy doll parts we’ve ever had to acquire. Special shout-out to @theatreworkssv for constructing the various scenic elements and properties, @paxtongate for supplying the animal bones and taxidermy mice, @la_madre_bruja for all the witchcrafts and charged crystals, and @silvermooncuriosities for providing all the pinned specimens. And finally, a huge thank you to Erika and @miss_capitant for inviting us to the estate and letting us fill the manor with horrific delights. Happy Opening Appropriate @theoldglobe directed by @broadnaxsteve It was so great to be back home in San Diego to share my work with friends and family.
