A little bit of pink, a splash of blue, some yellow and green thrown in for good measure! 🌈

Even an ordinary walk through town feels a little more colourful when the streets look like this. 😍

πŸ΄πŸ’™ A lovely encounter on the walk from Penally to Tenby!

One of the best things about walking along the Pembrokeshire coast is never quite knowing what you'll come across!

While walking over the headland near Penally towards Tenby, we spotted these beautiful horses. 🐴

With stunning coastal views and Caldey Island out to sea, this is already a lovely stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, but seeing the horses made the walk that little bit more special. 🌊

Just look at those colourful houses overlooking the harbour, the little boats bobbing on the water and that gorgeous pink sky. πŸ’—

β›ͺ️ Did you know there's an unusual story behind St Julian's Chapel at Tenby Harbour?

Opened in December 1878, this little stone chapel was built for Tenby's fishermen, replacing an earlier chapel that once stood at the end of the harbour pier.

But there's a rather interesting reason behind its construction!

After the old chapel fell out of use, fishermen attended services at St Mary's Church in the town centre. However, the smell of their fishing clothes reportedly offended other members of the congregation!

Rector George Huntington later arranged for a new chapel to be built, with much of the funding provided by a local benefactor, Miss Forde.

Today, St Julian's remains a lovely reminder of Tenby's fishing heritage, tucked away beside the harbour.

It's been a busy week for Tenby RNLI, with the station responding to its 100th call-out of the year after a swimmer got into difficulty off Castle Beach.

The volunteer crew launched the inshore lifeboat and quickly located the swimmer sitting on Lion Rock, unable to make her way back to shore.

After checking that she didn't require medical attention, the crew returned her to Castle Beach, where she was met by a friend who had raised the alarm.

It's also been a positive week for the station, with the Haydn Miller returning after several months of maintenance at Mainstay Marine.

The station has also gained a new inshore lifeboat helm, Eddie Waring, and a new navigator, Ben Field-Thomas.

Stepping through this stone archway feels like stepping straight into a fantasy novel. 🌌✨ If this path led anywhere in the world (or time!), where would you want to find yourself on the other side?

Tenby's forgotten role in the liberation of Belgium during WWII.

In May 1940, over 900 Belgian soldiers rescued from Dunkirk arrived in the seaside town of Tenby, Wales. They took over seafront hotels like the Atlantic Hotel and trained on the beaches, forming the legendary Brigade Piron before liberating Brussels in 1944. Discover the forgotten World War II history hidden in Pembrokeshire!

A huge thank you to Colonel James Phillips of Tenby for providing the idea and background research information for this video

β›΅ Even the boats take a break in Tenby! πŸ’™

When the tide goes out, Tenby Harbour takes on a completely different look. Boats rest on the harbour floor, mooring ropes criss-cross the sand, and the colourful seafront houses provide a beautiful backdrop.

It's fascinating how the same place can look so different depending on the tide!

Tenby looking beautiful from above! πŸ’™

It's amazing how different the town looks from up here. The colourful houses almost look like a patchwork, the boats are tiny against the sea, and Castle Hill is catching the golden sunlight. There's so much to spot when you take a closer look! β˜€οΈ
