What if your body doesn’t need you to push harder, but to listen a little more closely? After completing a somatic training, Art is excited to share a new set of skills that explore how we move, breathe, hold tension, and respond to stress. Our bodies carry so much. Sometimes that shows up as chronic pain, restricted movement, tension in the jaw or shoulders, difficulty breathing deeply, or patterns of strain we can’t seem to move beyond. Art is looking for one person to work with privately over 6–8 weeks, using Somatic Awareness Techniques : slow and intentional movement, and meditation techniques to explore specific areas of dysfunction and support greater ease in the body and nervous system. Together, we’ll create space to slow down, deepen body awareness, and explore new ways of moving, breathing, and finding stillness. All levels of experience are welcome. 🤍 We’re looking for someone experiencing chronic pain, persistent tension, or dysfunction in the hips, shoulders, neck/jaw, spine, edema, insomnia, diaphragm, or other areas of the body. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear your story. Email = info@zionwell.com to apply. Tell us a little about what you’re experiencing and why you’d like to participate. Sometimes, the beginning of change is simply creating the space to listen more closely. *This complimentary program offers supportive movement and meditation practices. It is not a substitute for medical care or a guarantee of symptom relief. #somaticyoga #yogastudio #yogateacher #annarboryoga #entertowin #yoga #yogaprivate by @art.zwell
“The object isn’t to make art, it’s to be in that wonderful state which makes art inevitable.” Robert Henri SATYA III notes: This is what 5 days of 30 hours of somatic yoga training looks like. Barely got off the ground. 😂 When I first began my yoga journey, the way that I practiced and trained and taught was so power driven and even aggressive at times. I wanted to go deeper, into more poses, stretch further, hold longer and “achieve”. I would have never thought that my journey would guide me into becoming a meditation teacher in 2019 and eventually diving even deeper into the soma, body and spirit with someone I only ever dreamed of meeting. What a privilege to be able to move slow, small and be still. To take the time to be curious, look inside and ask big questions, unanswerable ones. I am especially impressed with how much I learned about the wisdom in the internal water systems, rivers as Tias says. Energy lines, lymph fluid, spinal fluid, nerves, fascia connectivity, strain patterns, pain, all aspects of the Autonomic nervous system, trauma and more. It’s so so subtle. Sometimes is just moving the eyes, turning a foot one inch to the right, pressing your big toe, twisting your heels away from your diaphragm, lightening up an organ, enhancing vitality from the inside out. I am so excited to be able to incorporate all that I have learned in my classes. I will be taking on a few private clients as a way to build onto this healing knowledge and help people who may be experiencing pain or suffering of any kind. I want someone willing to commit to an extended period 4-8 weeks minimum so we can see some real transformation of the body and nervous system. Especially looking for people who have chronic disfunction in hips, diaphragm, shoulders, spine, edema, jaw/neck pain, insomnia, open to others as well! These sessions will be gentle, grounded, slow moving, inquisitive, personal, awakening, meditative and so much more. If you are interested shoot me a message. by @art.zwell
What if the most meaningful thing you do this season is simply gather? 🍂 In a season that invites us to slow down, turn inward, and reflect on what truly nourishes us, we’re creating space to do just that. See below for our special 1 day retreat discount! The Great Harvest is an evening dedicated to the sacred art of gathering. Through a grounding, somatic yoga practice, we’ll slow down, tune into the subtle body, and gently release the tension we’ve been carrying — physically, mentally, and emotionally. Then, we’ll come together around the table to share a thoughtfully prepared harvest dinner by local chef Allison Anastasio, celebrating the flavors and abundance of the season. Nourishment isn’t just what we eat. It’s how we move, how we connect, and the moments we make to be fully present with one another. One evening. A shared table. Space to simply be. 🤎 Sacred practice led by Aubrey + Art 🍂 November 12 | 4:30–8 PM 📍 Cobblestone Farm, Ann Arbor 🎟 Buy 1 Ticket, get the 2nd HALF OFF! Come as you are. Leave a little more nourished. 🍂 ROOM TO BREATHE 🍂 An extended practice for making space this Fall—inside and out, with Aubrey + Art What would it feel like to create a little more room inside yourself? As we move into fall—a season traditionally connected to the lungs and the work of letting go—we’ll explore the places in the body where breath can become restricted: the diaphragm, ribcage, psoas, and heart. Through subtle body energy, slow sliding somatic movement, Hatha-inspired chair yoga, breathwork, and partner practices, we’ll gently invite more space for the breath to move. We’ll explore how tension, fear, grief, and the weight of what we carry can live in the body—and practice making room for what is ready to soften, shift, and move. Come breathe. Come release. Come make space for a new season. Room to Breathe 📅 Saturday, October 11 • 11:30 AM ✨ An extended practice to slow down, reconnect, and create a little more room within. #SomaticMovement #Breathwork #ChairYoga #HathaYoga annarboryoga by @art.zwell

Fish Pose is one of our favorite backbends for the summer season. ☀️ It creates gentle extension through the thoracic spine (the upper and middle back), helping counteract the rounded posture so many of us spend our days in. As the chest lifts, the lungs have more space to expand, encouraging deeper, fuller breath. Fish Pose also opens the Heart line (TCM)—an energetic pathway associated with joy, connection, and emotional openness, making it a beautiful posture to explore during the Firey summer season. In this video, we share three different ways to practice Fish Pose using props. -A bolster for a more restorative heart lift - Blocks to create a more active thoracic opening -A strap to help access the shape with stability and encourage strengthening neck, core etc. Each variation offers a different experience, making the pose more accessible and allowing you to find the version your body needs today.Come practice with us and learn how thoughtful prop use can completely transform familiar postures. If you’re someone who loves understanding the why behind each pose, our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training begins September 5. Together we’ll dive deep into alignment, anatomy, nervous system regulation, meditation, breathwork, philosophy, sequencing, and the skills to teach with confidence—or simply deepen your own practice. 2 scholarship spots remaining, and payment plans available, flexible schedule + Email us 📧 info@zionwell.com to learn more. We’d love to have you join us. 🤍 #matsyasana #fishpose #yogaeducation #annarboryoga #mentalhealth #annarbor #yogateacher #yogacommunity #yogateachertraining #ypsilanti #ypsiyoga #yogainspo by @art.zwell
