We’re often asked how people can contribute to Art2Hearts.

What kind of paintings should I create?
Where do I send them?
Can my school or class participate?

This post answers some of the questions we receive the most.

The truth is that there are many ways to be part of this mission. Paintings created in homes, classrooms, and community spaces eventually make their way to pediatric hospitals and care facilities around the world.

Every canvas becomes a small moment of color, comfort, and joy for a child.

Jillian Horowitz is a social worker at Camp Towanda. She’s the one who helped Amanda Forman turn a painting idea into two real sessions this summer.

That’s usually how it starts. Someone on the inside says yes, and suddenly a camp full of kids is painting canvases bright enough to hang in a hospital room instead of grey walls.

Children were asked what colors make them feel safe and comfortable in a hospital. Across all age groups, they kept choosing the same ones: green, blue, yellow, and purple. Colors that feel like nature, warmth, and light.

This is exactly why the art we place matters. Not just that it’s there, but what it looks like, and how it makes a child feel when they see it.

Every Act Counts hosted a community art creation event to create paintings to be donated to Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, NJ. We are proud to be able to support @art2heartsfoundation in their mission to bring comfort and happiness to children in hospitals and their families. Thank you so much to all group members who participated both at the in-person event and from home. We couldn’t have done it without your hard work and creativity. An additional thank you to the seniors at CBH Care who contributed many pieces of artwork to our donation. In total, we were able to make a donation of 53 paintings! 🎨 🖼️

🎨💙 A HEART FULL OF GRATITUDE

Today’s Paint With a Purpose event reminded me what community is all about. Even in the middle of a heatwave with temperatures reaching 100°F and above, you showed up, picked up a paintbrush, and created something meaningful for children in pediatric units. I am truly grateful to every person who spent part of their day creating with us.

Art gives us a chance to slow down, be present, express ourselves, and connect through creativity. In pediatric spaces, artwork can bring color, warmth, comfort, and a sense of hope—helping make an unfamiliar medical environment feel a little more welcoming and human. 💙

A special thank you to my husband, who had just returned from a three-day fishing trip and driven hours to get home, yet still made sure to bring water bottles for everyone in this heat. ❤️ It may seem like a simple gesture, but those acts of love and support behind the scenes mean so much.

Thank you to Art2Hearts Foundation for making opportunities like this possible, and thank you to our friends, families, participants, and community for showing up with such generous hearts.

Today we didn’t just create paintings—we created with purpose, compassion, and kindness.

Every brushstroke had a purpose. Every painting carried a little piece of our community’s heart. 🎨💙

Our Art Creation Event with Art Treck brought our community together for an afternoon of color, connection and creativity. From toucans to sunshine skies, every piece was made with love, and every piece will find its way to a child’s hospital room to bring a little extra joy.

Ready for another wonderful art2hearts event full of creativity, community and service. We have lots of blank canvases, pre-sketch canvases and textured canvases with designs. I love creating my textured canvases. It’s so therapeutic and love that others get to paint it and make it their own art. by @art2heartsfoundation
