Rusalka has opened a path to big big realisations. It's gaining mad pace day by day so would want to say THANK YOUU to the wonderful Rusalka gang. Let it take us even further and further 🧚🏼‍♀️

✨️ Shot and edited by one and only @adam.razvi who generally speaking helped produce this whole venture, from finding the necessary equipment to using every minute of the studio time we had. True set marathon runner

✨️ Scored by a fantastic person and artist @anna.hawxx who in 3 days created such a piece that up to this day still gives me goosebumps with each listen - just like Anna's metal band @hawxxmusic !! Check them out!!

✨️ @charleswangggg assisted and sparked for us and took some mad photos!!

✨️ Performed by Rusalka herself whose spirit could not be replaced by anybody else!

BOOKISH 2 POST 💄✂️✨️

My second ever hair & make-up job in Belgium was this special coproduction between @happyduckfilms and @eagleeyedrama series called Bookish! Second szn officially streaming on @uandalibi 💥

Written & produced by @themarkgatiss who also plays Mr Gabriel Book in the series, the story follows a bookeeper who has a knack for solving mysteries in 1940s London.

Thank you to the designer @esther_de_goey for inviting me to the world of Bookish, hot sticks and foggy alleyways. It was one of my top jobs of all times, I got to do so much and I learned so much.
Got to see places all over Belgium and even Germany, learned a bit of dutch and made new friends along the way 🩷

"Paris is Burning" is a film full of unapologetic self-expression and cultural nuances that almost 36 years later still show relevant to the voices and resilience of queer people across generations.

The story feels so cinematic, despite being a documentary, thanks to its full-of-hope characters contrasted with the harsh environment they lived in.

This make-up look came to me as a meditation while rewatching the film. It is one of these bodies of work that can inspire differently, depending on the point of life you are in.
It's purely a blend of things I like
It is what I wanted to create on a random Friday.

I believe that the make-up and fashion communities we are part of today would not be as accessible if it wasn't for previous generations of creative expression that carved the path and still continue on to do so today.

What to do with greasy hair? 🎀

Slick back? Slick side? Princess Leia entered the chat? 🌸

🎀 Pro Tip for twisting your hair:
while holding both sections, twist them in the opposite directions and away from each other. Repeat repeat repeat! One section clockwise, the other anticlockwise.

Personally what helps me with repetitive movements while styling hair is not really looking at it? It may sound interesting but focusing on the muscle memory alone and no visual distractions really helps xxx

Recently I have found my childhood digital camera and it's been the key to more artistic freedom ⚡️
I think it all comes down to its simplicity that takes the pressure off the picture making process.

I did this make-up look during the solar eclipse on 12th Aug. Forgot to buy the special glasses to properly take a look at. All the sunshine coming through my apartment's windows was filtered by the greenery of monsteras that live on my windowsill

Hot sticks become really handy when it comes to longevity of the style. Also, you can just leave them on to marinate while doing your make-up!
I often use them while working as a hair artist on film sets set in 1940s 🎬
