Our friend and comrade thái lu aka @littleom lives with multiple chronic illnesses and disabilities in the US, where worsening financial conditions have cost them regular supporters. They are struggling to cover monthly medical expenses but covering their healthcare plan is the top priority.

We DIRELY need your help supporting our beloved community member. Thai currently needs funds for the hydrocolloid dressings that they need to survive full body chronic infections, as well as for high utility bills and several very high medical bills. This is an incredibly pressing need, and meeting these costs is instrumental to Thai’s survival.

These costs are a direct outcome from medical neglect, the failures of the medical industrial complex, and ableist systems at large replicated on an interpersonal and communal level. As friends of Thai, we implore you to let our friend live, even as the medical-industrial complex and the conditions of capitalism attempt to disappear them day after day.

Consistency is one of the main tenets of mutual aid. Please directly ask those you are in community with to support and share this fundraiser continually and expansively. by @art_for_thai

Dear comrades and friends,

Come join us in celebrating the last days of summer and @marmotsansmots birthday while raising f*nds for @littleom . Thái Lu is a cancer survivor living with multiple chronic illnesses, including severe endometriosis, ME/CFS, MCAS, and autoimmune inflammatory skin conditions. All the funds earned through the event go towards supporting them in their ongoing struggle to cover their medical bills.

During the day you can get creative in many ways: You can decorate candles, or glue glittering stones on old clothes or on one of the soli t-shirts you can buy directly at the fundraiser. You can even get a hot new tooth gem applied by @toothgemsfantasy . In the evening our DJs will get you dancing one last time under the open sky before cosy autumn will start.

Let's come together, enjoy music, drinks and food, creativity and each others company while showing solidarity with a comrade in need.

Please come tested and symptom free + there will be tests at the door!

🎵VOICE WORKSHOP + KÜFA + BAR — May 13th🎵🌸💗

Come make some noise with us! We’re hosting a fundraiser evening starting with a one-hour vocal workshop led by the wonderful @jack.ruessmann (they/them) — no experience needed, no preparation required. Just bring yourself and your voice.

Whether you want to explore your voice or simply spend an evening in a warm space with good food and good company, this is for you.

Join us for a neurodivergent~friendly and masked event and learn about the work of the art for thái collective.

When: April 12th, 4-6 pm
Where: Linienstr. 206, 10119, Berlin

Accessibility: The location is not wheelchair accessible. There are approximately 5 steps at the entrance.
Please test before coming and do not attend if you have any symptoms. Some tests will be available on site. We will wear masks and only eat individually or outside. Dimmed lights. Soft music is optional. Bring your fidget toys. We'll have pens and papers.

We regularly raise funds for thái by organizing fundraiser events. thaí is a cancer survivor living with multiple chronic illnesses including endometriosis, ME/CFS, MCAS, and autoimmune inflammatory skin conditions and faces extremely high ongoing medical costs. Because of their health, they are currently unable to leave the U.S., despite being consistently underserved by the healthcare system. Our long-term goal is to help thái relocate to a country where they can access proper care.

To ensure ongoing support for thái, the collective needs to grow. Different capacities are welcome!

Tasks include writing texts or image descriptions, designing flyers, event planning, mobilizing, cooking, performing and more.

If you can’t make it to the event but want to learn more about our work, DM us! We can schedule a chat or a (video) call.

To become part of the art for thái collective, you don’t need to be based in Berlin. There are plenty of remote tasks you can support with.

dear comrades & friends,

we are gathering again in solidarity with our friend and comrade thái lu (@littleom ), a cancer survivor living with multiple chronic illnesses, including severe endometriosis, ME/CFS, MCAS, and autoimmune inflammatory skin conditions. we are raising funds to help them with their ridiculously high medical bills, which continue to be an ongoing struggle.

candle workshop (5–7 pm)
together we will shape and pour small flames into being. during this hands-on workshop you can mold your own candles and/or decorate them with herbs and other materials.
if you like, bring your own wax leftovers or a candle you would like to decorate. otherwise, just come as you are, all materials will be provided. participation in the workshop is on a 10–20€ sliding scale. no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

vegan (& mostly gluten-free) küfa (from 6:30 pm)
there will be quiche, soup, salad, gluten-free butternut squash lasagna and gluten-free cakes plus a magical drink to boost your immune system.
food will be served until it’s finished, so come early if you want to make sure to enjoy some yumminess.

open reading stage (8 pm)
bring your own writing, or lend your voice to a text by your fave author. poetry, essays, stories, rants, all are welcome.

thanks to ur collective care, i was able to make my healthcare payment & will be able to get my labs done today. it takes SO MANY PPL just to care for ONE person. but that shouldn’t stop us. the more of us who give, the lighter the load on ALL OF US.

pls be patient i’m having trouble keeping up with msgs. i’m still in shock & rage & idk where to begin…a human centipede of grief & trauma. 🔄
