Part 1: Moving to Seattle was the second best decision me and @iam.ryss ever made, just after our #1 best decision to move in together🥰 I wish I could accurately convey the deep strings to my heart that are pulled on when I think of Ryss, the home and life we built together here in Seattle, and the moment we are living in right now. I know it won’t last forever, and I know I’ll look back with profound happiness that it ever happened - and that’s how I knew we had to capture it. I needed these memories, this moment, to live on forever for us to look back at. More importantly (says the photographer) , I needed someone to capture it accurately - not in the physical sense, but the emotional sense - AND @olivia.natalya 📸 DID JUST THAT 💅 thank you, Liv, for allowing this photoshoot to be just ‘us being us’ and hiding in the bushes so you could capture it all forever. I don’t know what it is, but this birthday felt different. I don’t know if it’s because I’m finally experiencing spring as it was meant to be (with full blooms just after a true winter hibernation), or because I’m watching this new life in Seattle come to fruition, or if it’s the proof I got to see that distance never mattered to any of my loved ones in California. Whatever it is, I’m so grateful. I felt overwhelmed even at the idea of posting this for my own little diary on my Instagram because there was SO MUCH I want to remember - so many moments that filled my cup and made my heart flutter. From the bottom of my heart, with tears in my eyes - thank you. Thank you to every person that made this spring and Taurus season the best one I’ve ever had. Thank you to every friend that extended themselves to make me feel loved with ease and showed up every time I needed it. I feel so loved, cared for, and important. I can’t believe I get to share this life with you all 😭💖 and an extra big shout out to my love @iam.ryss - where any gap is left, you fill it. You leave no room for me to NOT feel loved. You watch every move I make to be sure you’re a step ahead of me just in case you can make my next steps easier. Who would have thought our first “Seattle Freeze” would have us so busy?! I feel so loved and lucky to have been surrounded this winter by friends so invested in nurturing our friendships. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

WE GOT TO CUT OUR OWN CHRISTMAS TREE!!! We did it all by ourselves with the exception of @bassmann36 driving us up in the snow, explaining every type of tree and what we need to look for, giving us gloves and a hand saw, and sawing it most of the way with @iam.ryss while me do the last cut for funsies / a photo opp with @groovy_shroomy 🥰 so basically… we did it all by ourselves!!! ✨ shoutout to our incredible friends for minorly helping us - we so appreciate you 🫶🎄 and also yes - all 20 of these slides were absolutely necessary. Ugh, my first fall in Seattle. I knew my cup would be filled, but I couldn’t have imagined it overflowing the way it has this season. Warm cups of cider and plates of food made with love, rosy cheeks partnered by huge smiles and core memories, community support with warm glowing light at a time the world has felt so dark - all while watching our trees who spent all year creating fruit and flowers for us to love finally rest their leaves on the ground. I couldn’t (or rather, don’t have the time to..) show you all every moment that filled my cup this season - but this post gives you an insight to just how incredible it has been and still is. My home is a warm and happy, my heart is full and overflowing - I am rich. I’m so glad this life is mine, I feel grateful every single day 😭🍁🍂 taken in Seattle, Washington by @artandaesthete
